About the recent Bleach live action movie they announced...how bad do you think it's gonna be? If it's as epic fail as Dragonball Evolution or The Last Airbender can we expect an epic Magfest review of it a few years from now?
For the newest Bleach chapter, the appearance of the new enemies at the end reminded me a little of German military uniforms around the World Wars. Given that, the likelihood that they're quincies (who use German, or at least what Kubo thinks passes for German), and the 1000-year blood war title (anyone getting flashbacks to the Millenium Organization from Hellsing and the clue that they were Nazis?), I think they might be German-themed. Which is sad, since many people were predicting that as a joke o.O
For Fairy Tail, I don't think Mashima was going for bondage so much as he was trying to capture what an absolute b@#ch Flare was. I think Mashima was trying to capture the personality of those stuck up teenage girls that act outright nasty to the heroine in teen dramas. Then again, I can see why given past material you thought that, and it definitely seems like there is an element of bondage. Also, with Flare threatening to brand Lucy it looks like her hair is either acidic or is capable of heating itself up. Given her name and the fact her hair is red, I'm assuming it's the latter.
And for Bakuman, I've absolutely hated these last few chapters. Mashiro and Azuki had this reckoning coming for a long time now, and it's really annoying that instead of addressing the fundamental problem with their "relationship," the mangaka team decided to portray it as victimized by a petty obsessive voice actress fandom (which do exist and are creepy) that can't understand the AWESOME SHONEN PURITY of their love. I mean, would it hurt for one person to point out how stupid it is for 2 people to avoid each other because they don't want their love to interfere with their dreams of being successful? It's getting so bad I almost want Nanamine to show up again (the horror!).
Oh, and what's up with that title card o.O?

I read somewhere that it's possible these new antagonists might be based off Russians, who were enemies of the Germans back in the day. The main justification is Ivan's name, but it wouldn't be a bad thing to do that, though I would like there to be a focus on the German motif we've gotten very little of so far in terms of the Quincies. Seele Schneider and Letzt Stil are pretty much the only two. I still stand by the likelihood of Quincy/Hollow hybrids being possible, just by Quincies being able to manipulate spirit particles and theoretically fusing themselves with Hollows to get greater power by breaking down their spirit particles and ingesting them or something.
It's pure speculation, but it works when you think of Ivan's reaction to being compared to an Arrancar. It's as if he's insulted, but also knows of them, so the possibility of a Quincy plot to get power from Hollowification is not so farfetched.

@Fenrir Moridin
I was diagnosed with diabetes on the Tuesday before air, and due to the hectic week of doctors and whatnot, I wasn't able to make the time to refine the sketch as far as I would have liked.
And I really am starting to hate the general title card I made for the show, since it crops badly here and at LordKaT.com.
As for who it is, that's the female lead of Zippy Ziggy wearing about as much as she actually does in the manga.

Oh, so that's why it looked rougher than usual. For a hectic week that's pretty damn good, and Hunter x Hunter's taught me an appreciation for rougher looking art ^.^
And yeah, cropping is pretty much the bane of images in general, which must be hard when it skews an image you worked hard on.
Sorry to hear about the diabetes, my father had it and my uncle currently has it, so I know a little about how hard it can be. Best of luck!

@Steveman
Does that mean you've been reading every manga that's been reviewed in WMR so far?
Zippy Ziggy was... unpleasant. The humor was just not doing it for me, the dialogue is uncomfortably predictable, and the main character was impossible to root for. At least Monkey Manga was genuinely clever at times. This was just... I'm sorry. I didn't like it 2 years ago, and I didn't like it now.
Bitter Virgin... It feels as if you are going through my entire childhood of reading manga before I get a chance to see Hoshi no Samidare reviewed. Well, that only makes it more exciting to look forward to.
I can't clearly remember how it ends, and I'm not sure if I would like it if I read it again today, but I'm pretty sure Bitter Virgin is gonna make for a very interesting review.

I mean, why bother putting her in the story if she can't ever fight well? And at the same time Ezra is always looking badass. I just hate it when anime and manga have characters in action type stories that are just used to show off the villian's evil or get used just as the butt of everyone's jokes or get used as the loser character and then don't get any type of development to change it. MAR and Flame of Recca had weaker character that got better and it made those good stories. Yakitake Japan had Kawichi who's always treated like a joke but everyone and he doesn't get better and that irritates me.

@Athos
I try, however, I rarely get more than a handful of chapters down before I either loose interest or just can't keep going. I ended up only reading the first 3 chapters, and the last chapter of Zippy Ziggy.
I LOVE the art, but I can easily tell that its story is not one I would enjoy reading all of. To be honest, the last one I really liked on WMR was Skip Beet. >,>a I love Rocoms.

Also, there is this blog with text recaps (with a few jokes thrown in) of the chapters, starting with chapter 55, and other fun little tidbits. Here's the link: http:// nenena.dreamwidth.org/ tag/anime/manga: +soul+eater
Believe me, it's worth reading the chapter and the corresponding recap.
