Let me start off by saying that even though I’m just 14 years old; I can tell that there’s a huge difference between Cartoon Network now and Cartoon Network post 2004 (when CN’s biggest mistake was made). I love the memories of Cartoon Network so much; I actually find myself watching old episodes of “Johnny Bravo”, “Courage the Cowardly Dog”, and Dexter’s Lab (among a few others) on DVD, rather than watch new episodes of “Stoked” or “TDA”, which are supposedly targeted at my age group. And let me tell you, I’d much rather watch Johnny Bravo and his goofy antics to impress women; rather than watch some chick licking a gassy, morbidly obese retard’s armpit hair. Which would you rather watch?

In my school, I had to write a two page essay on something I dislike. I wrote that sucker on CN’s retarded changes and sent it straight to CN’s feedback email. Two weeks later, much to my surprise, they actually wrote back to me; and I have to at least commend them for actually reading the comments watchers give them. I didn’t get a response from the head of the company or anything, but from what I understand, they’re aiming for different groups of people. And I guess it makes sense. They’re going for the route of “what’s popular these days”; too bad they’re a decade too late and miles away from true talent.

I wouldn’t be surprised if, indeed, Cartoon Network was trying to relive its past success by reairing these shows. But canceling Boomerang is a huge mistake.

As far as game times:

Action games: 10-15 hours.
RPGs: 25-30 hours(all side quests included).
Puzzle/strategy: 10-15 hours.

To be honest, all this is completely arbitrary. It's up to the individual to decide how long they like their games. The above are just my preferences. The last game that I felt was a little too long was Resident Evil 4.

Yeah I don't know about this Avatar movie, I'll pass.

To me a single player game should be about up to either 7 hours or 24 Hours or even longer if it's going to cost 63.99, games that are extremely short like 3 hours long should only be a DLC game, Modern Warfare 2 was short but if you play that game it's going to feel like you played for 8 (or more based on experience)fuckin hours because of the difficulty and it was so well done and completely polished, but of course that is my opinion.

I enjoyed this podcast a lot and it was very informative and you all made some very very good points movie and game wise and that made me happy, I will be looking forward to your return after the vacation and I wish you all a happy holiday.

How very flattering!

Why yes, I am hot. Hotter than Tabasco. Also, I can beat Kings Quest 3 in 30 minutes, which proves I am not all hot air. :)

Thank you so much, guys, very kind words!

I still don't know why my good mike was cutting out.
Fun Fact: I used a mic from an "American Idol: Karoke Set (My younger
simblings) and a audio converter plug. Never trust Puala Abdul.
Had a great time doing this. Thankx for having me again.
• rommel175  - i love Paw
you rule in a way that newbs like the rest of the cast can't understand
• vid3oman64
because newbs don't even approach the raw hours of life clocked in as Paw has

HI-OHH AGE JOKE!
• PushingUpRoses

I also love Paw. He is playing a rather obscure adventure game in his lets plays that I never got to work PROPERLY on dosbox. Cheers to him.

BWUH?!?!

:0 :0 :0

They're thinking of remaking "CAPTAIN PLANET"?!?! Why the hell would they remake "Captain Planet"?! Who would want a "Captain Planet" remake?! Why is there even consideration for a "Captain Planet" remake?! Good lord, my brain is still reeling from that little bomb drop. That could have warranted an entire discussion!

Oh, I'm sorry, where were we again?

Is it just me or are Paw's old (oops, I mean, seasoned) becoming the new fat jokes? :P

Nicely done episode, you guys. Nice touch on playing "Back in Time" for CR!'s segment. ;)

I think ive started off a Monster with the whole 'is she hot thing' lol. (I know Joe used it anyway i just made a point of it and it sustains my ego to think so ;))

I gotta agree though...

'But is she Hot?' and 'Love my Sexy' need to go on Joe T-Shirts lol.

So then, how long till those Talentless hottie actresses are permanently replaced by CGI? lol.

LordKat should replace Sean.

What!? No one can replace Sean! I love LordKat, and havin him on future TA's would be awesome, but he cant replace Sean

• HopeWithinChaos

I was injured and couldn't make it. And lordkat is a great guy, i don't mind him steppin in for me like that :)
• PublicEnemy
avatar
haha, I dont mind him steppin in either, but as much as I love lordkat, he shouldnt be a permanent replacement. LordKat cant fill in the chemistry of Rollo T and Sean, it wouldnt be the same

Really nice episode, loved the stinger bit.

About game-length, for action games, it kind of depends on the story and the core-gameplay.

With Modern Warfare 2 I have to say the length was pretty good, because if they dragged the story even further it would have gotten a little (more?) ridiculous. And then you have Spec Ops and Multiplayer.

Let's see here, another game... Oh, inFAMOUS! There's a great game, now it's a sandbox game so obviously the length becomes rather personal, and then you have the whole Hero/Villain-thing, now I've played through it three times, and have pretty much completed it 100% and I think my timer is probably 60+ hours.

Then we have a game like Valkyria Chronicles, a weird strategy/3rd person shooter/RPG-mix, and it's really great, since it's pretty much a JRPG the story takes a pretty long time to complete.

Now I have a controversial statement, Fallout 3... I've played that game for probably 100 hours (two files with 50 hours each, or something like that) but my feelings for that game are really weird.

Arkham Asylum had a pretty nice length, even though I can't give you hours, it just felt like a satisfying experience, and I still have a bunch of extra stuff to do.

I really need to get to the point don't I?

Action games:
12-30 hours (I know that 30 sounds like much, but that's sandbox games)

RPGs:
40-Unknown Hours

Oh, a way to short game! Mirrors Edge... Day after I bought it, I was finished, I kind of enjoyed it at first, went back to play it on Hard, and I started to notice all the bugs...

Great Episode. Kick ass as always
• Ispeer
The song in the middle sounds like a remix of the color dungeon from Link's Awakening DX where you get the different colored clothes.

When it comes to halo, I'm no good. It's mostly because I can't use a controller in an FPS to save my life; too used to mouse and keyboard, I guess. It's alright, but not "the greatest game ever" as a few friends of mine seem to think it is. Oh well.
• Maxameeleon
I demand proof of said gamer girl! Interview! :woohoo: Also, CR's mic sounded okay to me
