Thanks for the nod S.G. Why isnt my blog listed at the top though. It feels naked not being there, I smell a conspiricy. There will be blood if something doesnt happen to change this, oh yes.

Great show though, loved hearing about the thinking behind those characters. Your mike was fine too man.

    **Edit**

Ah, its there. Much better, I can now release these 30 Virgins (both male and female) alive and well.

I agree that Conan is getting fucked over =\
and NBC is retarded for thinking that the unfunny Jay Leno can compete against late night Dramas.

    yeah go sagan.

that song was on SPOONY!!!'s website

    stop make fun of Paw

i hope they go all demented with the candyland movie. :0 Candyland war movie. :woohoo:

I watch the new Leno show when there's nothing on. Why'd they have to move. Leno pulled a Farve. I think Leno, Conan, and Letterman all hate eachother now. I think there both funny but my parents don't get Conan. Old people love leno, young people love conan. Both shows are basically the same by there host.

    FEED HIS CHIN!!!

TOO MUCH McFarline. There running out of ideas

YAY for once you guys got to everything on the list

Awesome podcast, guys. Welshy deserved that awesome blog as that vid was awesome. I wish I had that great editing skills. Perhaps he can teach me the ways of the video editor...

Always great to hear from S.G. The guy's a class act and next week we get Panda? That's cool, too.

    Good stuff, guys!

I was actually hoping Paw would pick this song for the Paws Button (or however you are supposed to write that out) Even though I already heard about it (like alot of people) from Spoonys site. So I don't blame Paw for getting it stuck in my head and forcing me to put this song on repeat for about 70 times over the weekend, I blame Spoony.

Great podcast as usual, I wish you would have talked a bit about TA Plays.

    Ooohh good for you!

EDIT: And of course, WE GAWT HIM!

How about this for the Candyland idea:

The citizens of Candyland have been living the life. They spend their days prancing around and acting all sweet and kind to any who appears in their domain.

Mr. Monopoly saw that there was great potential to mine candy from the land, and so he gave the citizens of Candyland an offer to purchase the property for a candy mine. To his anger, the citizens refused.

Mr. Monopoly knew that the candy mine would make him millions so he began to devise schemes to drive the citizens of Candyland away.

First he sent Battleships down the Caramel Canal but the Candylanders sunk them up with pop rocks and soda by guessing where they would be. He then sent socialites such as Mr. Mustard with a candlestick to infiltrate their ranks and eliminate their leaders. The people of Candyland quickly found out who was committing the murders and exiled them from the land.

The final battle is when Mr. Monopoly unleashes the raw power of the Hungry Hungry Hippos. Many were devoured by their insatiable appetite and the people of Candyland were about to make their final stand.

Then, as with any movie based on such insanity, the writers have no clue how to end it and show a child waking up with all of that being a dream.

I expect my millions to arrive soon.

A Candyland movie? really? whats next are they going to make a movie based on the arcade game Asteroids...OH WAIT they're doing that too.

I got 6 words for you: Asteroids movie rights licensed by Universal.

I think Candyland can have a real story compared to THAT.

I think Michael Bay should make a Tetris movie. Not only would it be soooooo f'd up, but people would watch it just because of the sheer ridiculousness of how that sounds. "Tetris, directed by Michael Bay." No, that is NOT a real thing, I'm just saying how funny that would be. The stupidity of Uwe movies would have difficulty comparing to how funnily stupid that would be.

Timeslot issue: I agree with Chris on this, to me, when it comes down to drama, such as NCIS, vs. a talk show, damn I'm gonna watch a drama like NCIS. Timeslots don't matter unless (1) it's a time when the average TV watcher is asleep or at work (i.e. 4am or weekdays at 1pm) OR (2) they have to compete with something known to be great already, like NCIS, or CSI, or House, or "Law and Order: WTF" (yay puns). I don't know if it was intentional, but I do feel they f'd over Jay Leno there, and personally, I'm fine with that. I never considered him above average in comedy, really, so I think the funniest thing I ever heard with him involved was him being called the king of comedy.

Well, the podcast has been finished for about five minutes now and that song ISN'T stuck in my head! (Though I did find it to be very Kraftwerk-esque)

"See My Vest" on the other hand? "Liiiike my loafers, former gophers..."

It's awesome to see, er, hear "A Goofy Movie" get some love on Transmission Awesome. While we're on that similar Disney vein, at first the idea of a Candyland movie baffled me but then you guys brought up Pirates of the Caribbean. While that one turned out as gold, the Haunted Mansion and Country Bear Jamboree didn't quite pan out the same way. Then again, as soon as American McGee's Alice was brought up, I, too, started to get intrigued by the idea of a morbid Candyland.

So many trains of thought... ;)

There is nothing a kazoo can't enhance. Plenty of fun was had by all, thanks as always, boyz!

    Woo, Sad Panda next week!

Jay's original intention for making the proclamation he was going to retire in 5 years and named Conan as his successor was to prevent the whole Leno- Letterman up roar that split fans after Carson left. Jay with in weeks of saying he'd retire in 5 years said well he may not be comfortable with the time table but he was comfortable with Conan taking over for him. NBC said tough to Jay you said 5 years your done in 5 years and began a huge renovation project in the Universal city complex. Jay is filmed in Burbank. SO they knew for years in advanced that Jay may not want to retire in 5 years but still went with their plans anyway and at that time quoted to the media "Jay go elsewhere is an acceptable risk." Well 5 years is up Fox and ABC were set to get in a bidding war for Jay once his contract was up NBC knew this and signed him so he would'nt be head to head against Conan in late night. The move was more to protect Conan from Jay's loyal audience that may not like Conan and won't switch to letterman cause Conan is a shadow of Letterman. Conan has stated that himself on several occasions. SO in the end NBC was willing to sacarfice the 10pm slot most liekly figuring it won't do well but they got Jay under contract knowing if it fails he is still under thier contract and can't go to a rival thus protecting Conan.

    If not a movie... then a FANFICTION -_-;

and SHELL YEAH there should be a candyland movie!!!

Also I loved fox and the hound! I had a speech impediment when younger so when my grandma asked "whats your fav. movie!?" I would respond "fu*& and the hound!"

    Lovely.

This was a pretty funny episode! I can't believe Sean called the cops and ends up getting the tape upside down. You really need to do a reenactment of that in your next Epic Fail.

I also believe Conan got screwed over. He is a funny guy and I'm sure he has a huge fanbase to win him against Letterman, especially after the scandal Letterman has to deal with. I agree with Sean, the Jay Leno show is more relaxed and therefore more boring. It's basically the same format. If he had added some sketch comedies or tried to do something different, then he might succeed but unlikely.

Why not have Leno compete with the daytime talk shows if he wants to stay in the spotlight?

Yay, someone else acknowledging the overabundance of Seth McFarlane shows on TV. Family had a good run for the first few seasons but it's gone downhill, and I haven't really seen Cleveland Show. American Dad was actually probably the best since it doesn't go off topic every minute.

Moving on, awesome podcast. Great intro, though it's going to be hard beating that Star Trek one a few weeks back.
