Bryan I disagree, Superman has killed on multiple occasions(Darkseid,Braini ac,Doomsday & Metallo, rented death is treated like appendage for them, but they need to be kill, with the exception of Metallo I mean to be honest given some corrections he could be a great hero.) Reasons why the big three should always be killed in my personal opinion, by Superman is because he is the only one who truly care, dark seid wishes to kill everything,Brainiac it wishes to consume all knowledge and kill everything! Doomsday is a mindless monster that will kill everything.

I don't like Clark killing one of his remaining people of his species, and I especially don't like the death of Zod especially when there are many other ways that could've solved the problem.
That was a bad story of movie, personally I do feel super man can kill and does kill, but the biggest issue is is okay for him to kill, be it is when it's not only earth that's in danger but the entire universe, knowing that if this person lives he is literally sentence billions die and possibly even higher! And this is the reason why I hate this movie, is that it could've been so much better, it didn't have the Clark story it needed to be Zod!

Remember when Superman killed Zod in Superman 2? Did anyone complain over that back then? I don't think so.

Thing is. Superman is a giant walking around a city made of cardboard. And he has to hold back when he fights people. Not to kill them. One wrong move and "SNAP". Someone's like a twig in two on the floor. But Zod is not a normal person. Zod is a psychopath. A murderous psychopath (not like the Joker, but still a bit unhinged). You can't play with kid gloves against him. Otherwise people will die. And people still will die.

It's important to understand that... okay. Stopping someone like Lex Luthor without killing him is possible and encouraged, 'cause ultimatelly the guy is a human being and all that... But Zod's not someone you can put away and expect him to not figure out a 100 ways to destroy the planet. Some people need to be put down. It's like Spock once said: "The needs of the many outway those of the few."

I think most people's real problem is not the killing, 'cause if they've read the comics, seen the original movies, they know that Superman's killed people. (I remember reading this one comment once where someone had made a list of all the people Superman's killed in various mediums) I think that most people are upset that Henry Cavill's Superman doesn't smile as much and give off lines to comfort people as much as Christopher Reeves' Superman did.

This dilemma of Superman killing is BS.
The great event of 2005 comics was Wonder Woman Killing Max Lord who controls Superman.
Wonder Woman was the only big hero who an kill.
That is the big problem with “I don’t relate with Superman because someone told me” syndrome, that makes people look for ridiculous excuses to not relate with superman.
Really some bad writers give ridiculous powers to Superman, but in the comics universe there are plenty of races and other characters more powerful than superman.
Also other characters more powerful than Superman many people don’t have any problem to relate.
Also none can push the idea that Superman is the only hero of the world because the Justice League is part of Superman Icon, people who never read or watch Superman knows that he is a member of the justice league.
If Batman let genocides alive he is noble, (and doctor who, green lantern and any other character) but if Superman does that he is above humankind.
The whole Space Jesus stuff is also a BS from people who only know Superman by the movies.
Obvious who make this movie is the kind of people that don’t know Superman and don’t like him because are told so.
Zack Snyder heard all complains about how Superman don’t punch nothing in Superman Returns and made a Superman movie with a Superman pinching everything.
I’m the only one who thought that Kevin Costner was a Dursley not a Kent?
The truth and original reason to hide Clark powers was fear that he will be taken by the government to be dissected (a common cliché in the XX century) not because the Kents are KKK who teach their children’s that being different is wrong.

both movies are incredibly boring and returns and man of steel, also I'm sorry to say this but the action sequences are still better in the animated films, and most of them have better writing!

Here's an interesting question: Who'd win in a fight between all major, non-comics, incarnations of Superman?
