The reason why sometimes the audio goes funny, with cat coming out one ear, and everyone else out the other, is because when we record, me and cat record at the same time. Most of the time, the final podcast is made from my recordings, which is mono, so it comes out both sides. Cat's recordings are kept as spares in case something causes my recordings to snafu. Kicker is, her recordings are in stereo, so her audio is recorded on one track, and everyone else is recorded on the other.
Long story short, when you hear the audio go funny like that, it just means we had some technical issues, and had to use the spare recordings. Hope that answers the questions!

I know a few people that used to play the Yu-Gi-Oh card game. Most of them said they quit because the restricted list had a few dozen cards that where only on it because they refused to ban Exodia.
Personally, I never really got into playing that game because there were b.s. victory cards like Exodia.

I have to agree with what you said about older fans of Anime and Video Games not liking that their hobby has been mainstreamed. Why? This is what you wanted wasn't it? Why are you still complaining? Like Dr. Gonzo said, You wanted this to get more of an audience and now that it does, you can't stand it because you didn't like the results of what happened?
This is just something I never understood. I,myself, am happy that Anime and video games are widely accepted forms of entertainment today.
