as promised, the rules for the logo contest!
-entry must retain the basic style of the hollowed out NERD3 logo. You may change the font, space, size, or add a background surrounding if you wish, but the basic style must remain the same.
-entries must be received by midnight of August 16th. All entries received will be showcased on the video feed of our season 2 finale, with the winner being revealed at the end of the show. This logo will be used for all of season 3 until the season finale, where the contest will be held yet again.
-Also, since someone asked, YES, all entries will be credited on the finale, with the winning entry receiving credit on any official N^3 pages and sites.
-PLEASE NO COPYRIGHTED OR STOCK IMAGES!! Copypasting official artwork into the logo is both lazy and only semi-legal. We want something new and original! Fanart OF offical characters IS acceptable, as long as the fanart is YOURS!
-Above all, HAVE FUN!!! BE CREATIVE!! We want to see what you can come up with!!
-You MAY enter both the logo contest AND the recruitment drive (as long as you're 18 or older for the recruitment), but, as you can understand, we won't allow one person to win BOTH contests. Sorry, guys, we do have to be fair here.
for written rules regarding the recruitment drive, I wrote an article on it. you can find it in my articles section.

I know how ya' feel, Gonzo. My first play through I lost Thane, Mordin, and Zaeed and I was especially pissed off since I really liked them all as characters. Thankfully now I've figured out the right strategies to get everyone out alive. Also, on the note of going through and talking to everyone in Bioware RPGs, I wish that it still gave you experience points in Mass Effect 2 for adding entries in your logbook.
I'm actually not really all that upset that Starcraft 2's going to be a trilogy since apparently the next two installments are going to be at a discounted price. At least I hope so anyway. Activision's been known for screwing PC gamers as of late (no dedicated servers in MW2, we have to pay for DLC, AND you charge us ten dollars more for the PC version? *grumble grumble*)
Also, woot for punishing rage quitters.
Good luck with the recruiting! Hope it goes okay for y'all, and I'm looking forward to your discussion on summer blockbusters.

If there is a chance that a recruit can stay on longer than a single season, it's really not that fair, because the Logo is slated for only one season.
It's just my opinion.
Cheers.

I thought of this just a moment ago, but you guys are expanding the staff, which means you're open to having guests and other folks on the podcast. That said, because you guys are human beings with lives that go beyond a podcast on the internet, have you ever considered having folks who could potentially fill in for you on podcasts where one of you can't make it?
I know you, Gonzo, actually did it a couple times on Transmission Awesome before becoming a regular host, so why not Nerd to the Third? Channel Awesome, after all, has other folks interested in video games, manga, anime, movies and comics who I bet would jump at the chance to help you guys out, so why not look to your fellow contributors while you're sitting at the "employer" chair to help bring us not only a bit of consistency in podcast releases, but ease the weight of your real life issues that, like any regular person, come up from time to time.
