Actually, Cat, Cardcaptor Sakura was dubbed by Nevada. 4Kids had nothing to do with it.
...Great, I also have nothing else to comment on that is clever or original. T_T
Gonzo, what is your favorite old school console and favorite game on it? Specific reasons would be nice. XD
Cat, given the choice between an anime or manga adaptation and you can only pick one, which would you choose?
Travis, A-Team movie. Are you as psyched as I am? XD Joking aside, is it just me, or is 2010 really the year for charmingly cheesy action movies? You know, like they don't take themselves seriously but are ridiculous awesome or fun. Like, The Losers, The Expendables, A-Team, Kick-Ass and more. Think action movies just can't be taken seriously anymore, or is it more like a throwback to 80's/90's work?

Mark Hamil played a voice in Scooby Doo on Zombie Island? :woohoo: Awesome.
Johnny Depp is in as much danger of being typecast as Robert Dowry Jr. Versatile actor who takes on many diverse roles. The example you cite as being different, Sweeny Todd, was a movie directed by Tim Burton. He's not so much type casted as he is working with Tim Burton in way too many of his films.

Um, I think that Johnny Depp has already been typecast as the "weird guy." Even in "Benny & Joon" he was a weird guy; this was a major plot point to the movie, so I'm sort of surprised you missed it.
In other news, I am also surprised that you, DrGonzo, did not bring up "Wing Commander" when you were talking about Mark Hamill. As a gamer, you should consider this a major oversight, especially since it would have fit perfectly into the point you were making, as his role in those games was fairly different from Luke Skywalker.
Other than that, fairly entertaining, keep up the good work!

05.16.2010 - 04:50 | Richard WeskerYeah, Gonzo, Metal Gear Ac!d looked very unappealing when I saw it for the first time. The fact that neither of the Ac!d games are canon put me off entirely from playing them. For the record, my least favorite game in the MGS series was Portable Ops, followed closely by MGS2. Portable Ops was a dragging simulator with an unexceptional storyline. MGS2 had a dumb storyline which introduced idiotic plot elements like Liquid Snake seemingly "possessing" Ocelot and the whole stupid AI Patriots nonsense.
I really hated how the series turned into this weird story about AI programs taking over the world (Of course!!!), rather than nuclear deterrence, political intrigue and nuclear-equipped bipedal tanks.
Also, I thank you for calling me reliable. XD

05.16.2010 - 14:13 | EbalanceI LOVE POM POKO!!!!! Just get over the... you know what... that aside... the movie is awesome!!! I LOVE TANUKI!!!! The one thing that bothers me to no end is that in the dubb they keep calling them raccoons. They are not raccoons. They are tanuki. Yes, a tanuki is a member of the dog family that looks raccoon-like, but they are not related to raccoons, and they live in the old world. Raccoons are new world animals, and have little genetic relation to tanuki. However that's minor for most people I guess... and I still really like Pom Poko...
Anyway, I'm all for cute animals, environmental message, magic, trippy monster parade... it's just cool.
Not complaining, just curious.
