I am currently at film school, learning how to make videos better, so when I gain more experience, it would be an honor if I made a movie or game review with you one day.

Hello. I am the Game Dude. Inspired by the Angry Video Game Nerd, I'm a satirical video game reviewer. I've been reviewing games on and off for about 4-5 months excluding a 4-5 month period of doing nothing because my laptop broke... Anyway, because I've made multiple video game reviews, I thought I'd might as well just make a discussion thread altogether. Remember. I'm always open to constructive criticism.

Oh God this is awful.
It's like you're trying to combine the AVGN and Zero Punctuation into one annoying unfunny flash in the pan of a game reviewer.
First of all, stop saying you're Nerd Inspired. Good reviewers like Lee, Spoony, Benzaie, Hellsing920, and many others have credited their influences but they don't talk about them constantly and put them in their tags. It comes off as desperate and kind of creepy.
Second, actually review the game. Are the controls good? Are the graphics good? You're just ranting about the things nobody cares about. You know who else does that? The Irate Hack Piece of Shit Gamer.
Third, stop sounding like you're reading from a script.
Fourth, random humor is only funny when done right. When you show a picture of Mario and Luke Skywalker set to the Macarena it looks like something out of a really bad episode of Family Guy and I don't like Family Guy.

He's succeeding at what he's trying to do, and that is make entertaining videos. You can't please everyone.

Although to be fair putting other reviews names in your video tags when they have nothing to do with the video itself I think is going a bit too far.

For the most part, all those reviewers you listed besides AVGN, iRate Gamer, and Zero Punctuation do not script their videos. They improvise, thus messing up their lines a lot, which isn't as professional as scripting when done right.

I don't talk about the Nerd constantly and I have removed those tags which I put there to get my videos more views and I write "Inspired by the Nerd" (sometimes worded differently) in all my videos as an honor to the mighty Nerd.

Did you only watch my Brawl review? That one's the worst one. Watch a different one.

Also, there are good games based off movies. They don't all suck.

What metaphor? A metaphor is symbolic comparison (that does not use "like" or "as").

Fine. Not metaphore. Exaggeration. It doesn't matter. Actually, I am not bad at all. You probably only saw my Brawl or Mario Kart review which are bad. Watch the other ones and stop being so damn rude for no reason providing almost no constructive criticism at all.

Make your next review better? Heh. Good luck. You really need to work hard to make something worth watching, since you are a AVGN ripoff and you'll need to think to break yourself from that.

Here's the dealio - i have been on TGWTG for over a year now...
And I've barely watched any of these videos for over 3 months...

The reason I stopped going is because everything I see on the site - I have seen before.

I love the fact TGWTG needs MORE video game and anime reviewers - especially those of the "negative" persuasion.

Alexander Badr, you need to work on something else. An original concept or idea - that's the kind of videos I watch. Linkara reviews Comic Books, NC reviews 80s and 90s Cinema...

You... are just a "Nerdspired" wannabe game reviewer. I love watching original ideas and original shows - How about instead of your thoughts on *insert video game here* and be like the THOUSANDS of Video Game Reviewers on the Internet - you try something else.

How about you do a series on THE HISTORY OF VIDEO GAMES - and not make it suck like Chris Bores?
or how about you do a series where you "TEST" products in the wrong ways? (ex. You treat a Nintendo Wii Controller as a Bat, Tennis Racket and Golf Club in Real Life)

Basica, what I am trying to say is - Don't be a "Reviewer" - Don't be a "Ranter" - be something else - like a Pitchmen - BILLY MAYS RIP

A lot of stuff has already been said here but I would have to agree with not following the path of another reviewer no matter how much inspiration you derive from them. The best way to honor the AVGN or any other reviewer you like is by being different and if you are fortunate enough, to impress them in someway.

One tip I offer is to not take on people who are attacking you. We all eventually make one response to a heckler but consistently replying in an open forum when you are trying to present yourself likely is not the best way to go about it. The AVGN fan crowd is very defensive against anybody that tries to mimic his style or borrow lines from him, which is just another reason to acknowledge him as a source of motivation, but not a source of material. I have not watched all of your videos but I am sure they are varied but take in mind some of what has been said here on this forum as well as on your youtube channel.

The quality of your camera is quite good and I hope you can find your way onto the internet in a way that is original and awesome. Good luck.

Some people have been pretty nasty in this thread, and I don't condone that, but their complaints are valid.

Your videos aren't really bad, per se--at least I can hear you clearly, you have good capturing software, and you don't start off with "Hey, guys ..." like a lot of them do. But your videos really don't stand out in any way--there's nothing special or unique about them. There are tons of video game reviewers on YouTube--TONS! If you want to be a good reviewer and get positive reactions from your viewers, it's better to try to bring something new to the table, not copy someone else.

So, while I'm sure this isn't what you wanted to hear, I hope you take it as the constructive criticism it's meant to be.

Other than that, I agree with Kazekawa--getting into flamewars with your haters only makes you look bad.
