I thoguht this might be pushing it a little, but looking at the all-mighty Wiki, it came out in 1999 which makes it hit the Pokemon threshold. Also, I think it's worth featuring because it hit right at the peak of the Will Smith hype. Not that he's exactly slumming around now, but that movie was pretty much selling on him alone. Also because just thinking of this movie makes blood come out of my ears.
Doug Walker, you must listen to me because my signature is really, really large.

Me too! Seriously, what was with Jon Peters and his mechanical spider fetish?!

In case people don't know what we are talking about...
Giant enemy spiders? Damn, looks like we can't attack the weak spot for massive damage.
If this nostalgic enough for the Nostalgia Critic, review away. If not, wait a year or so. =D
When I feel blue, I listen to Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds music to perk myself up. Nothing like the end of humanity itself to raise the spirits, eh?

So yeah, I'd like to see Doug give this one a shot if he considers it nostalgic enough.
You might want to hear the backlash from that story/dvd.
Not sure if this really counts as being nostalgic or not but just in case if it does, then I do see this as a hilarious NC review. I especially would to hear his thoughts on the whole giant spider thing especially since it was Jon Peters' idea. But what do you guys think? Would it be worth it?
I mean Kenneth Branaugh, Will Smith, Kevin Cline, Salma Hayek, and Ted Levine all must regret this movie.
Bad acting by good actors, a simplistic story, stupid writing, and the most frequent use of puns ever. Every time there is a pun, it feels like biting into bread mold. It feels just......wrong. Let the critic rip this crap hole to death.
Oh Lord, this was pretty much Howard the Duck of the 1990s, but The Agony Booth already tore it a new one. How could a movie involving a racist supervillain with a gigantic mechanical spider and a entourage of hot chicks be so bloody boring?!
This movie didnt what it was. i always saw it as a futureistic western which makes no sense. Im pretty sure everyone knows that will smith turned down the roll of neo in matrix for this movie. he said he would do a bad job as neo so he did wild wild west.
I wish my voice wasn't horrible, or I'd rip this POS a new one myself! A sci-fi western that came from the same Actor-Director combo that brought us Men In Black, so we all thought it'd be pretty good... then we remembered it was a SCI-FI WESTERN!
Wild Wild West would be an awesome movie for NC to review. Its one of the most historically inaccurate movie ever made. Klein and Smith were ok in it, but being a huge NC fan, I know he can rip this movie a new asshole and could be an awesome review. Show some love and review this beast.
Um, if you actually expected either the creators or the audience to interpret this film as historically accurate, you missed something.
This movie was entertaining, sorta like sci-fi elements in a western setting. It's a typical summer blockbuster, not golden art, but certainly not horrible. NOBODY thought this was a historical film. It's an action comedy, relax.
Not everyone who plays videogames has acne, just the ones who are good at them.

It was more of a historically-based steampunk action adventure kind of thing. I liked it, but it would be nice to see a review of it too.

I was just thinking of this film and I think I know why it's perfect for NC -
1. There would be several fans here who would remember this from their childhoods if they were born in the mid eighties to early nineties.
2. It was critically maligned and is generally hated to this day, but I know several people who liked this, even if they are aware of it's...'less than optimum level of artistic merit', to try and word it somewhat nicely.
3. It's based on an iconic American show from the sixties that those who first watched this when it came out may have seen, contributing to their disappointment in the flick.
I know it's barely Nostalgic, but so was Pokemon. I'd love to see the Critic review this movie. I'd love to see what he has to say about it! Thanx for creating these forums, by the way, and thanx for listening to our suggestions. Again, I'd love it if you reviewed this movie.
