Films you like but most people hateRe: Films you like but most people hate
*gets out a musket* NOT MY CHILDHOOD DAMMIT, I WAS ALREADY IN PUBERTY AND CRYING ABOUT GIRLS THAT DIDN'T LIKE ME!!!!! ... Ahem. Back on topic: I enjoy (most of) the Scary Movie franchise. Like in part 3, where she looks out the window to see the dude chopping wood in his back yard... and they're Duraflame logs still in the wrapper. Cracked me right up. Seriously, haven't you seen many more people chopping wood in movies than you ever have in real life? How many folks still do that?
Re: Films you like but most people hateThe Wizard, I think it looks like a blast
Kazam, Max is cute
Re: Films you like but most people hateThe new King aruthur moive, yeah i know its about as historicaly accurate as Jeus pulling out a desert eagle with the Saxons having crossbows and coming from the north and attacking hadrians wall even though they lived south of england and it messes with the normal arthuain legends and moives which i really enjoy but i quite liked it really
Energon axes are the right of all sentient beings
Re: Films you like but most people hateAng Lee's HULK.
Seriously, do people hate this movie just because it actually tried to be a little different?
Re: Films you like but most people hateNo.
Re: Films you like but most people hateOk, in all seriousness, I love Titan A.E. Don Bluth still had it here, but some of the others lost his touch in transition.
I haven't heard a Yea or Nay for this movie, but I love Heavy Metal. I've always took a shining to a movie with multiple stories locked onto one thing of great power. DONT HATE ME. I have ADHD, but that don't mean I... uh... oh look, a Furok! it's mine now!
Re: Films you like but most people hateEveryone I talk to seems to hate No Country For Old Men, I liked it a good amount though, didn't see anything horribly wrong with it anyway, like everyone else seems to.
Re: Films you like but most people hate
I wouldn't say All Dogs go to Heaven is a movie people on here hate. I'm sue someone didn't like it, but I gathered that it was a movie people generally liked.
Re: Films you like but most people hateI still love the Directors Cut of the Daredevil movie. It's a quality film that got overlooked because of the poor theatrical release and reception. Also, I still enjoy the 1996 adaptation of Romeo and Juliet with Leonardo DiCaprio and Clarie Danes. Everyone gave it shit for keeping the dialogue, but I found it a unique twist and enjoyed the movie.
Re: Films you like but most people hate
The only reason why I like that movie is because we got to see Michael from Lost in drag. That is what made Romeo and Juliet for me. It’s no wonder that the Tri-Wizard Tournament isn’t hosted anymore. Out of the last four contestants, one got PTSD, one joined a torture-for-hire gang in Slovakia, one became a drug dealer in Bruges, and one died and got turned into a sparkly vampire.
Re: Films you like but most people hate
Mm I thought it was talking about just people in general...not necessarily members here. My parents hated it. Lookie Doug, it's a BAT CREDIT CARD!!
Re: Films you like but most people hate
Yeah the critics were kinda half and half on that one. I think it has a 44% on Rotten Tomatoes. But outside the critic circle I haven't heard much hatred for that one. Though I admit Don Bluth has done better films.
Re: Films you like but most people hate
Actually it got a higher score like 60-some for being "fresh" as opposed to rotten which made me quite happy. I loved it for being so daring and going outside the box. It has to be his darkest but deepest film. Lookie Doug, it's a BAT CREDIT CARD!!
Re: Films you like but most people hateshark tale i like and i enjoyed home on the range also to me the sonic anime movie is probably one of the best anime/video game movies i have seen also i enyoyed the disney hercules and when I was younger i liked cinderella 2

Re: Films you like but most people hate
Oh, dear. I really hate this movie given how badly it raped the mythology surrounding the character... So, yeah, life is pretty crazy.
Avatar is a photo of Elliot Carter, that incredible father of metric modulation.
Re: Films you like but most people hate
It's entertaining though in my opinion at least.
Re: Films you like but most people hate
Pffft! I don't care! It was a kick-ass movie with kick-ass music, kick-ass characters, and kick-ass writing. When was Disney EVER true to original material anyways? Answer: Never. They can't be. Hera can't try to kill Hercules because her husband man-whored himself out to some Grecian mortal woman. Herc can't go insane and murder his wife and children either. It's not child-appropriate material. It's the same reason the mermaid princess didn't try to stab the prince and then die "like she was supposed to", Cinderella didn't order her birds to peck the eyes out of her stepsisters "like she was supposed to" and Prince Phillip didn't rape Aurora while she slept "like he was supposed to". Do ye have complaints about THOSE? XD I hope not. x_x And aside from being inappropriate for kids, you have to admit most if not all of those endings and events are in bad taste. To kids and adults alike. The mermaid one isn't entirely horrible but nobody really wants a tragic ending like that. *sighs* To be perfectly honest, Megara steals the movie for me. I would not love it as much as I do if not for her and her awesomeness. lol AND the Muses. They rock the house. Lookie Doug, it's a BAT CREDIT CARD!!
Re: Films you like but most people hate
Several things: 1. Those alterations of the Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty stories are just one variation, which the Disney versions chose not to follow. There are multiple variations of the tales. 2. You know, children's movies can be dark and have Downer Endings. It's not wholly forbidden. I mean, yes, there are places to draw the line, but I'd say if Little Mermaid ended like that rather then how it did end, it would be a much stronger film. 3. As for Hercules *ahem* Heracles, it's not that it changed the "not child-appropriate" material, it's that they changed the whole freaking myth into an entirely different film that represented the first Superman movie more than it did the 12 Labors of Heracles. At least with the other myths you mentioned, Disney still followed the basic story. Here, they just threw that in the trash and made something completely different. Not that that's bad, but it begs question: Why does it still bear the name Hercules? Not to mention all the nonsensical changes to the myths in general they made (Heracles to Hercules (Which is his Roman name, not his Greek one), the merging of the Fates and Graeae, the changes to the Hydra, etc.).
