I saw a bit of that on television once, but it looked stupid as hell, so I changed the channel. Doesn't surprise me that he would be behind the camera of a racing-zebra flick.

And I'm amazed at how they were able to afford Gary Oldman.

From what I've heard, the director use to make kids tv shows in France, and looking at the movie, it probably would've worked best if it WAS a tv show (though I'd hire the writers of Gargoyles to help on this if I were to go in that direction).

I still say Garrett is the most likable guy in the movie, and if I ever had to put up with the same bullshit in this movie he does, I'd be just as grumpy and want to leave society like him.

If I were him, I'd be equally annoyed too.

And you know, considering that the best place he could run away to is "Ferngully", the rest of England at that time must REALLY be fucked up.

No, whatever land in The Princess Bride is safer than Ferngully and England considering both movies.

Well considering that The Princess Bride world might've taken place in the late 1400, early 1500 when ship technology has gotten advanced enough to travel from Europe to the Americas, and that this movie takes place only after the fall of the Roman empire, I don't think Garrett would be able to get on a ship to get away from all that craziness.

The Princess Bride is Fantasy anyway, doesn't really matter.

What would've happened if Ruber became king? Probably, tear down the peasants' homes, and turn it into a RallyCross Course. Medievel Rally! Featuring Travis Pastrana, Dave Mirra, Ken Block, and hot anime girls.

Then again, those peasants could never defend themselves. Good thing Arthur, Merlin, and Excalibur kept them safe from talking donkeys, dronkeys, rock ogres, and Pea-Tear Gryphons.

Thinking about it, it's really interesting how the only two really good films that Warner Brothers Animation made during the '90s, the directors of them (Mark Dindal and Brad Bird) went to direct some major hits for Disney.

I'm, of course, talking about Cats Don't Dance and The Iron Giant. However, were you to ask me who directed Quest for Camelot, I would be drawing a blank.

You liked Cats Don't Dance ThatFellowInTheCoat? That's a good film. The only thing I hate is the Shirley Temple Villain. But, she's a villain. And to be fair, I saw Pineapple Express, and hated Gary Cole's henchwoman.

But back to the topic, the director is Frederick Du Chap. Who is he? I don't know. He probably had to work at a Burger King after making the film.

Then he probably had to payoff WB by working at Burger King.

You know what they should've made instead? Either put Wakko's Wish and TTA:Summer Vacation together for one big matinee in theaters, or make an Animaniacs Theatrical Release. Despite Camelot's deciding on whether to be funny or serious[going towards the former much more], at least we got Cats Don't Dance a year before, and Iron Giant a year after. So, If it weren't for Camelot bombing, ruining Iron Giant's marketing, Brad Bird probably wouldn't be at Pixar.

Did anyone notice the blatant ripoff of Superman? You know, the part where the dragon's torch the griffon and then rescue the falcon with the infamous "Superman Theme" playing in the background?

Wonder if NC will touch on that too?

He'd probably say this.

Well, Warner Brothers does own the rights to Williams' score from Superman, so they're free to do whatever they like with it and as long as they pay Williams, I'm sure he has no problem with it either. Heck, they could put it in one of the Qudditch scenes in Harry Potter, if they see fit.

I have another theory on why this film bombed. The 1st Gran Turismo for the PSOne was released in North America on May 12, 1998. This film came out three days later. No one gave a crap about Camelot. They were too busy trying to drive Subarus, Chevys, Mitsubishis, Fords, and many other cars. [Does Camelot have a Nissan Skyline? No.] That or they were saving their money for Mulan. [Mulan's Grandma:You'll Bring honor to us all.]

Or maybe he'll fly off the handle like the "Bat Credit Card" thing...
