Good.... GOD, this movie was awful!!! :x :x :x :x

Doug, if you ever read this, you HAVE to review it. Either you or Lindsay simply HAVE to tear this piece of trash apart.

Seriously.

The movie that killed the marketing for WB's subsequent animated film, The Iron Giant.

Yeah, rip this one a new hole.

One of the only films out there where the main hero is BLIND!

Did the same company make "The Road to El Dorado"? The films to me seem similar.

No, that was DreamWorks...

I saw this piece of crap in the theater; I dragged my dad to it and I remember he was very underwhelmed afterwards, while I liked it  Though I didn't like it enough to oqn the video (haha, oqn) and later on when I rewatched it on YouTube, I saw that it was garbage...

If the NC or NChick reviews it, I hope they point out:
-the annoying two-headed dragon and their horrible song
-the huge inconsistency/plot hole regarding Kayley's dad (mainly, the blind hero says that Kayley's dad trained him to become a knight but the movie earlier said that the dad had died the day he arrived at Camelot!)
-the crappy CG effects
-the awkwardly-placed ballad over the scene where Kayley flees to the forest

The movie is a bit entertaining to watch I guess. Though there was no suspense at all to it. Garrett being taught by Kaylee's father, that kind of ruined the thing for me. That and I thought the villain was annoying... ALMOST as much as Kaylee's b****ing.

Aww, but I LOVED that movie as a kid (Mainly because of Garrett. God, such a hot blind hermit, he is. ^^)

well I sort of loved the movie when I was young too but the movie now that I think of it was kinda stupid especially the siamese twin dragon who seems to have identity issues. Oh and for a movie that was sort of messed up it looks like a job for THE NOSTALGIA CRITIC WE REMEMBER IT, SO EVERYONE NEEDS TO TOO!!

Yeah, other than comic relief, Devin and Cornwall don't serve much of a purpose to the film.

Devon: Oh God, she's right.
Cornwall: And no one seems to acknowledge that we exist! ...except for Daredevil here.
Garrett: Don't you two EVER shut up? :x
Devon: *sniff* You are so kind to us. :)

Are you sure this movie isn't leaning more towards Nostalgia Chick's league? You know she would have hots for Garrett (especially since he's voiced by Cary Elwes, AKA, Wesley from The Princesss Bride).

Hmm perhaps N.Chick may review this movie but it will have to see which one of them saw it first because remember what happend at Ferngully both of them did a double project on the movie and so that may happen again on this movie because both guys and girls saw this. Maybe you should post the same thread in N.Chick and see what is her response

And of course, I think a lot of kids watching the movie were a bit confused about the ending when Ruber dies after shoving excalibur back into the stone and all this magic comes out and heals everyone, and yet Garrett's blindness is never healed. My guess is that the creators figured that girls would be into Garrett more if they just kept his handicapability along with a bit of angst (because we know lots of girls stopped liking the Beast from Beauty and the Beast when he turns back into a prince).

Nelson: *points at both Garrett and the Prince version of the Beast* HA HA!

Oh yes...I remember my mum rented this on video for a while when we were at my uncle's house in Venezuela sometime around the turn of the century or shortly before. It was the Spanish dub and I only remember elements of it, but yes, I recall it being of rather dubious artistic value.

Critic/Chick team-up could actually work rather well for this entry.

i liked this movie when i ws younger, but i am willing to have my nostalgie goggles ripped off. the villian was ok, but what was with all the twitching? also, you would think that Arthur and his knights would notice, oh, idon't know, the fact that he is PURE EVIL DURING HIS YEARS OF SERVICE! seriously, did he need a big sticker on his back that said "Unstable Psychopath"?

Ugh there is just so much wrong with this movie. The plot doesn't make sense at times. The villain Ruber comes off as a creepy rapist because uses a bad choice of words. Devon and Cornwall the dragons are like the retarded non-funny versions of Timon and Pumbaa. There are WAY too many songs and none of them are any good. If I didn't have you is probably one of the worst animated film songs ever in my opinion.

Ruber's song is pretty bad as well.

But thats what made Ruber such an AWESOME villain. Sure, he was dumb, but you gotta laugh at his pervertedness.

I like The Prayer (Celine Dion and Andrea Boccelli sang the duet together), I Stand Alone, and Looking Through Your Eyes.

Okay, you know I mostly like this movie because of Garrett; I know I'm shallow, but you can't argue with me. <3

Yeah Garrett is the only redeeming factor in this movie for me. It seems like Kayley is like "I wanna save Camelot" but Garrett does all the work. I think I stand alone is a decent song it is probably the best song in the movie. The singing voice Bryan White doesn't even sound like Cary Elwes though. The Prayer seems a little out of place, she's running away from the bad guys and you'd think there would be some kind of exciting chase music.

Yeah, and the sad thing is that this movie came out around the same year as Mulan; so why isn't Kayley stepping up the girl power and helping to lead the feminist movement... actually, I think a crossover would be interesting.

It would be interesting. Kayley just complains and complains about wanting to save Camelot and never does anything. It doesn't make sense. She should actually do something if she's going to do all that whining. I'd hate to see what would happen to her if Garrett never showed up.

And being that Garrett is the "emo" one in the group, he's actually doing more than any of the other character are doing besides complaining (btw, not all emos complain constantly, only as much as any normal person, but for some reason, people like to stereotype them as annoying).
