So I don't see this happening anytime soon.
But that was ROB'S opinion. If he doesn't like it, then fine by us. But we just want to hear Doug's take on this movie.
That's not what it is. I think he's trying to say that there isn't much to make fun of. Also, I heard from someone on Facebook that Doug doesn't like it himself, but doesn't want to do it for the reason I just said.
I'm not going to keep pestering him to review this, but I'm hoping they'll get a sudden burst of creativity and manage to turn out a decent review. Despite what Rob says, this movie DOES have a lot to make fun of, so I won't lose hope just yet. If he thinks they'll upset fans, I guess that's understandable.

I know Zathura isn't that old, but the fact that Doug is gonna review TMNT is proof that he makes an occasional exception, right?
Zathura the movie was a load of space crap. He could make a double review, though Zathura isn't exactly a sequel or a direct revamp of Jumanji. Aside from the story pattern, and the board game theme, they're sort of unrelated. It seems the rule to the exception is that it must be a sequel or a direct revamp of an 80's-90's film or television show. So, I wouldn't think he'd include Zathura.
ACTUALLY Jumanji was based on a picture book of the same name. Zathura was the second book in the series... and in those books Zathura takes place after the events in Jumanji so it IS a sequel. Don't believe me? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jumanji
