After reading the thread for "KISS Meets the Phantom of the Amusement Park" I figured I'd just get out the suggestion for Iron Eagle since apparently Queen's song "One Vision" can magically grant one the ability to perfectly fly a fighter jet.
If he does review Iron Eagle, he should review the sequels too. I remember the one where they had to team up with the Russians. They invited one of the russians to shoot some basket ball so he takers out his pistol and shoot the ball.

I recall seeing Iron Eagle III: Aces during an afternoon and laughing my ass off. It's almost a hilarious send-up of Westerns and WWII flying ace movies, complete with a suicidal Japanese mechanic who eventually sacrifices himself in a kamikaze attack, and a bling wearing hip hop comic relief, and a strong beautiful peasant girl. The aforementioned Japanese mechanic is played by Japanese action movie icon Sonny Chiba, and the rest of the cast includes Horst Buchholz of the Magnificent Seven and Paul Freeman (Belloq from Raiders of the Lost Ark). Now that deserves skewering!
I would like to see a review of this movie and/or sequels. I remember seeing the first two of them and as a kid I liked them. Of course, now I realise how silly they were, but they still have quiet a nostalgic value for me. I'd actually like to see them again if I get the chance.
I just finished watching this. I think this is perfect NC material. It's filled with stupid eighties clichés, the continuity during the flying scenes is all over the place, Saddam Hussein in a fighter jet, the music gets really tiring after a while and it single handedly obliterated the belief that all black people know how to dance.
It's still better than it's sequels but this is certainly no masterpiece.
Ah, Iron Eagle, where we find out that security on a military base can't be that tough since you can steal a multi-million dollar piece of US Government Equipment for causing a small international incident, while listening to music in a walkman.
It's not a bad movie, but it IS a cheesy 80s movie, complete with 80s montage.
I also love how the bullies in all these eighties films can get away with attempted murder over and over again. Then again, how else are you going to outrun a plane when you're riding a motorcycle?
And I just discovered that the guy who played Sinclair was also one of the black guys in Jaws 3-D.
