I don't really find him to be that Emo until close to the end of the movie when he decides he doesn't belong in Camelot and leaves Kayley all by her lonesome. Yeah that's real smart leave the useless girl to deliver Excalibur and fend for herself when Ruber and his minions are hanging around. Real smart

Please, please, please! The NC has to review this one!

This is one of the high-profile Disney rip-offs that came out int he mid 90s. It has tons of crap in it that's ripe for parody (the villain, the Eric Idle - Don Dickles Dragon) and the characters are walking punchlines (the guy's an emo and the heroine's a whiner)

This could be a good as the Ferngully review. Everyone seems to remember this flick for some reason, and there's definitely a huge audience for a review of it.

I'm actually rather surprised that no one's mentioned the half-chicken half-axe creature voiced by Urkel.

Seriously, dude.... Who could POSSIBLY think that was a good idea for a character? :x

Well Bladebeak the chicken is retarded but it didn't bother me because the chicken is not really in that much of the movie. Devon and Cornwall are a different story altogether. They have waaay too many lines and I hate them.

The NC could certainly do this one but I see it more as a movie that the N.Chick would take on, what with it Disneyesque female heroine and story. Either one or the other or both would be great though.

Thats what I was thinking too. I can just see Nostalgia Chick going all dreamy-eyed over Garrett (who of course is voiced by Cary Elwes) while Nostalgia Critic is rolling his eyes (of course, thats just me fantasizing the whole thing happening, though you can't blame me for coming up with ideas).

Quest for Camelot (1998)

Postby AVPGuyver21 » Sun May 24, 2009 8:59 pm

Would anyone want to see him review this next? I like this movie as a kid but it so corny now and the movie is full of bad songs seeing that NC hates annoying songs. I think would be a good review.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0120800/

My NC wish list:

1. Chuck E. Cheese in the Galaxy 5000 (1999)
2. The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle (2000)
3. Spawn (1997)
4. Doug's 1st Movie (1999)
5. The Postman (1997)
6. Alien Resurrection (1997)
7. Jacob Two Two Meets the Hooded Fang (1999)

I bet they'd make fun of the fact that everyone at the end gets healed by the magic of Excalibur but Garrett still remains blind (I think its best that way though; he just wouldn't be as cool). Still, I can already hear a Nelson laugh out in the distance.

Nelson: *points at Garrett* HA HA!

I'm thinking the "Whaa whaa" machine would work better. Unless it's still broken from the Superman episode.

Of course, being as this movie is about Camelot (sort of) and Eric Idle (from the Original Monty Python group), he'd probably make a lot of Quest for the Holy Grail jokes.

Kayley: *peaks through the bushes and stares in awe* Oh, Camelot.
Galahad: Camelot!
Lancelot: Camelot!
Patsy: Its only a model.

I know Doug is a big fan of Gary Oldman; I wonder how he'd react when he learns that he plays the voice of Ruber in this movie?

BUMP

Seriously, either NC, NChick, or both NEED to review this movie, even if its my own guilty pleasure, I'd like to see them have their take on it (and if you ask me, Gary Oldman as Ruber in this movie is very HILARIOUS).

Request: Quest for Camelot
Explaination: Even though this was considered a pretty bad movie (and now that I'm old enough, I realize how wierd it is), the movie still gives me some fond memories. I think it would work best if you teamed up with NChick for this since the movie has appeal to both boys AND girls. This movie also gives blind people a bit of dignity as well. Plus, this movie has celebrity voices in it, including Celine Dione, Cary Ewles, Gary Oldman (I'm sure you'd like that), Eric Idle, and URKEL!
Why its Nostalgic: I LOVED this movie as a kid. It was the movie that actually got me into looking into Arthurian Legend (even though the movie barely has any; I know, I'm pathetic), and, of course, I had a HUGE crush on Garrett back then (and still do). :D

Okay, NC DEFINITELY needs to do this movie. Since he liked Komodo in Warriors of Virtue, he'd DEFINITELY like Ruber (who, of course, is played by Gary Oldman). I'll admit, Ruber isn't as insane as Komodo, but he's still pretty hilarious (he and Komodo would be best friends).

Here's a clip singing his theme song:

BUMP

It would be perfect for both NC and NChick to review this. Not only because the movie "appeals" to both boys and girls, but with NC's love for Warner Bros type humor and NChicks... knowledge of girly Disney-ish things, this movie calls for both candidates to play off of.

I think The Critic can handle Quest for Camelot solo.

Besides, The Swan Princess and The Little Mermaid have more meat for The Nostalgia Chick.

Well, he's probably give the movie poits for the music, having a blind character (adding a bit of interest to the movie), and Gary Oldman playing the villain.

First of all, why would he like those?
