Except while Tom Cruise is usually charming and likable in his roles, LeBlanc was anything but here (though I do like him in Friends, even if the show as a whole does nothing for me).

By the way, admittingly; some of the films dialogue made me laugh but that's only because how unintentionally funny they were.

The line where that guy reveals that he's Will Robinson is probably where I laughed the most, mainly because of how obviously the film "subtly" fore-shadows it in countless scenes beforehand.

I especially laughed at how Gary Oldman said this line, actually he yells it but still.

"WHERE'S MY MONEY!"

And the entire film has the most poorest and dumbest use of time travel I have ever seen. Here's an example, Future Smith tried to kill Present Day Smith. Okay dumbass, you don't like yourself enough to erase yourself from your own time? Okay, good luck erasing yourself from oblivion. Oh wait, it didn't happen.

Why is it that every movie and cartoon avoids Doc Brown's theories of time travel? They sound the most plausible.

Yeah, the time-travel plotline was absolutely ridiculous in it.

Oh ho ho, this film has a lot of time travel errors that's enough to make Sailor Pluto cry.

Actually, they make use of PLAUSIBLE DENIABILITY....just for the fact it is a "probable future" or some shit like that.

It has been done before in movies, just not as badly as in this movie.

But that doesn't excuse the fact that Future Smith tried to kill his past self. Shouldn't he be worried that he might've erased his own existance?

lol....I never defended this movie.
And yes, I mentioned how stupid it was for future bad guy to kill past bad guy.

But take a look at it from future bad guy's point of view.
No doubt Future Smith knows about the timeline and after all, he was getting Future Will to make the time machine thing to work and ultimately he does not need his past self if his plan is successful.

But honestly, I don't know why he killed his past self. Maybe just because he has his dna in his baby spider things. He does not need his past self to be a menace...he knows what he will become...future Smith. Maybe he was taking advantage of past Smith being still human....he does not want to battle himself when his past self becomes as powerful as he is.

But in all honesty, I just think they (the writers) wanted to get rid of Past Smith as quickly as possible to continue the Future Smith final confrontation and demise.

That's likely the case. By the way, you want to know who wrote the film? Akiva Goldsman, Batman & Robin anyone?

Figures...

There is nothing good about the script in general....sure, moments of unintentional jokes, but if they are unintentional...wouldn't that mean the parts that ARE jokes are not funny? If the movie has moments where people laugh at something not intended to be funny...then I'm sorry but in my eyes it is a failed attempt at humour.

When it is "stickied" (the paper clip on the side) it means it is going to be reviewed.

Admittingly, as much as the movie sucks but Lacey Chabert was kind of hot. Though sounds like my sister if she sucked enough heliuem.

And examples of how bad the movie is.

You know we will have to make a Lacey Chabert fan-club now don't you? lol.

I did not think of her as a sex idol or one to fawn over to be honest because the character was not my type.
Also, I was 11 when this came out...she was 15.

Hold up, I said she was hot in the film. I'm not praising her lightly. Penny is a dated teenage girl stereotype.

The film shows it's dated and what's PennyVision? Where'd she buy that thing?

What can I say? Penny is Penny...even if she is a chipette in disguise. lol.

I know...been a while since I saw this movie but yeah..talk about the over-working dad that is basiclly a cliche of every other dad like that in every other movie I have seen. True, he and his family are in deep space...but that does not excuse having no depth to the character. As far as I saw that is.
