Lost in SpaceLost in SpaceAlright, now there's this film. It's called Lost in Space, based on (well to me) an uninteresting sci-fi series of the same name. When first released, it beat Titanic at the box office but when you watch the film, it's just as ridiculous as Titanic.
Re: Lost in SpaceI leave with only this:
Matt LeBlanc played a space marine

Re: Lost in Space
After 16 weeks, you'd think it would have gone down sooner. Hell, it took less than that for Dark Knight to drop down to #2
Re: Lost in SpaceFanboys give up on seeing a movie 13 times while teeny bopper girls wanted to see Leo DiCaprio constantly..

Re: Lost in SpaceYou know, Gary Oldman was in this movie.
Lost in SpaceDo "Lost in Space." That movie was so dumb.
Re: Lost in SpaceYeah, to think it opened the same year as DARK CITY...
I'll show you the LIFE OF THE MIND!
Re: Lost in SpaceWoah, I didn't know there was a nineties movie adaptation to that fundamental building block for science fiction. I can only imagine how much they must have screwed it up... let me guess, did they idiotically add a bunch of the campiness of the show for an attempt at nostalgia?
Re: Lost in Space
Pretty much, I believe.
Re: Lost in SpaceDANGER DANGER NOSTALGIA CRITIC! CRAPPY MOVIE AHEAD CRAPPY MOVIE AHEAD!
I remember seeing some of this movie and getting bored. I also saw an advertisement for the DVD in 1998 and to me was one of the first DVD ads. Prepare the Logic Bomb!
Re: Lost in SpaceYou know that monkey thing that appears at one point in the movie? That was a toy company's idea.
Re: Lost in Space
You mean that awful looking CGI monkey thing that looks like it skipped the final rendering in post-production? This has nothing to contribute or any links to apply, which makes this sig *ding* entirely pointless .
Re: Lost in Space
Yes, that's the one.
Re: Lost in SpaceMan, I remember enjoying it as a kid. I'm actually half-tempted to find it again and watch it, see if it's as bad as it looks here. I mean, Joey as a space marine? Hopefully the badassness of Gary Oldman helps swallow this one down.
Re: Lost in Space
Sadly, not even Gary Oldman saved the film.
Re: Lost in SpaceOh yeah, I remember this. Not exactly a good movie - IIRC the villain gets bitten by some space-bug, mutates into a monster (gee, that's original!), and somehow ends up getting eaten by his own minions. Yeah, that's pretty lame.
