Doctor Who Classics: Revelation of the DaleksJust watched the review, and I rather liked it. Some pretty good jokes here and there, and I liked that he gave an honest opinion of it at the end. I'd disagree with him on a couple main points, though- first off, a good number of the absurdities of the story are addressed within the episode. Jobel's toupee is referenced several times (it even falls off when he dies), and I think part of the point of the DJ is how absolutely ridiculous he is (he even makes a couple asides referencing the fact he's a DJ for people that can't listen to him). Also, I don't get why it's a bad thing the Doctor isn't featured prominently in the episode- it's basically just a classic version of a "Doctor-Lite" episode, on the level of something like Blink. Plus, the side-acts are so good that I don't see why "we get more of them than the Doctor" is exactly a bad thing.
But what did you guys think?
Re: Doctor Who Classics: Revelation of the DaleksWas I the only one who thought the DJ, in that 50's"Greaser" costume, resembled Meatloaf in his Eddie-from-Rocky-Horror get-up? If that's the case, then it was a prime missed joke opportunity. (Nash: "Dammit, where's Tim Curry with a pickaxe when you need him?"
