Daffy Gives Tribute To...

You know, the super heroes of our age really have a lot of work cut out for them. They have to save the world, keep the streets safe for people they don't even know, keep their girlfriend/boyfriend happy, make sure their friends and family remain oblivious to the fact that they are superheroes, and maintain their secret identity in the real world. Not to mention keep their job, pay the bills, and everything else regular people also have to deal with.

The Incredible Hulk

I was in a bad mood because of the disappointing Get Smart, so what was I to do? The answer was to call up a friend and see a movie called The Incredible Hulk! And did it get me in to a good mood? Absolutely. Iron Man, Hulk, Batman, movies based on comics seem to be doing very well this year. We can forget Elektra, Catwoman, Fantastic Four, Ghost Rider, because now it seems like people are finally doing something right, and that it will stay that way for a long time.

This movie was AWESOME for so many reasons. For one, the story was just about him trying to find a cure while running from the government. And he fights the government along the way! Yay! There was some lame love story between him and Liv Tyler (we'll talk about her later...) But just like Iron Man, the movie switched between the story and the action very well.

******SPOILERS******

I've decided not to write a full on review with summaries explaining plot and characters.  You can get those ANYWHERE in abundance.  So I've decided to just make some notes where appropriate on the movie I just watched today. 

To start with...Wow. Wowie Wow Wow!! I am speechless after the movie except to say, "THAT WAS F***ING AWESOME!!!!" (I literally said this out loud when the credits came up, there are witnesses).

Blew Ang Lee's Hulk completely away and has made it only a distant disappointing memory for this little gal.  Seriously, why bother hiring directors who are completely unfamiliar with the source material?  That would be like a nun being chosen to direct the Sex in the City movie. 

The references to the television show were SO clever and well-placed.
