Great list, but I gotta share mine too:

11. Jim Carrey in The Cable Guy - .....yeah, he just acted creepy in this movie....or maybe it's just me.

10. The horror carnival and Screweye from We're Back: A Dinosaur Tale - As awesome as this scene and character are to me today, it creeped me out a bit as a kid, I mean come on, it's a circus made for adults who like to get scared....in a kids movie. Also if you know how the villain dies in this move, once again, as awesome as it is today, it gave me the creeps as a kid.

9.The present scene from Nightmare Before Chrismas - The funny thing is I had not seen this movie until I was about 13, but seeing this scene in the preview creeped me out so badly that it put me off that long.

8. The demon cat from All Dogs Go To Heaven 2 - Yeah....this was kinda creepy to me when I saw this in the theater, being able to make the villain from the first movie his bitch, not bad at all.

7. Monstro from Pinocchio - Maybe this is because when I used to watch this back on VHS the quality made it hard to see the seen where Pinocchio and Gepeto are trying to get away from Monstro, either way made me never want to go in the ocean.

6. Jaws - Yeah.....no explanation needed........why did I watch that as a kid?

5. B-Movie song from Brave Little Toaster - This one is picked for visuals alone. Yeah a disco song about B-movies isn't that scary, but those broken appliances
sure were when I was little.....the song is pretty good too.

4. Truck scene in Terminator - Yes this movie was not for kids, but a lot of us saw it anyway, and where scared to be anywhere at night after it.

3. Random parts of Labyrinth - No doubt Labyrinth comes from Jim Henson's darker side (which obviously isn't that dark) many parts spooked kids a bit.

2. Are You Afraid Of The Dark - The only show that was made for kids and to scare kids. It's a wonder most 90's kids aren't messed up.

1. Sid from Toy Story - A kid who takes toys, takes them apart, and puts their parts on other toys to make mutant toys, doesn't sound too scary huh? Well Disney made it scary, and his name was Sid. Sid is even creepier now, probably because most of us know at least one person like him, but he was still scary to us as kids because let's face it, he seemed insane. - Dokupenda

Lullaby Land

Back when Disney use to show their old cartoons in the morning, there was one called Lullaby Land that particularly frightened me. It was meant to be a warning against dangerous household items, but it was too screwed up to get the message across. If anyone wants to see it, I was able to find a German dubbed version.

I'm surprised Chucky wasn't on there, or maybe it's not old enough. This guy I know said his cousin locked him in a room filled with dolls with that movie playing when he was five. - Rac_Rules

Am I the only one who was scared of the rhinoceros in James and the Giant Peach? O_o I mean, it was some kind of nightmarish shadowy figure emerging from the clouds with glowing eyes and shooting lightning from it's horn. Whenever I see it now I think "Woah, that thing is awesome!", but it surely scared me when I was a kid. XDD
G'mork in the NeverEnding Story was also pretty freaky. I mean, you see all of the story so far painted in murals on the wall, but suddenly you see that one that depicts some kind of huge beast, then Atreyu looks back and sees the wolf looking at him from the hole and the spooky music plays. I was quite scared by that.
Also, the scene from The Mask when Jim Carrey puts the mask on for the first time. XDDD

Other than that, Night on Bald Mountain, the face melting in Indiana Jones... And IT, of course. - Mizel

I know there are a share of scary clowns but the one I mostly feared was Pennywise from Stephen King's IT.
I was surprised not to see it on the list, but since it is Nostalgic stuff that was shown and you reviewing, I forgive you.
I like the list you made, though. It was a good look back at those moments that used to terrify us way back when. And yes, I was one of those persons scared of the demon dogs in Ghostbusters. And the guy in nanny drag...I used to think he would kidnap me (when I was a child).
And of course, The Child Catcher from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang used to scare me shitless aswell.
But enough about my Pedo-phobic problem and back to the list.
I have never seen the Care Bears Movie, but seeing that snippet got me interested...though I doubt I might be able to find it.
Yes, as a child I was scared of the Snake from Beetlejuice and The Wicked Witch from The Wizard Of OZ....I leda very troubled childhood.
Still, it was great to re-live watching these horrors that used to frighten me at a young age and I like to congradulate you on a great list.

The scariest moment for me... the scene in The Grudge which had the kid appear in bus window. It wasn't necessarily scary, but it did creep me out on the drive home. I would NOT look out the window... at it was first time in years I kept a light on when I went to sleep. - JinLee86

Good list. I thought that the book with the face in it from the first care bears movie was pretty scary. Also this movie The Gate, when all this freaky stuff happens at the end with the eyeballs in the hand, I haven't seen that movie since but it was scary. I remember some parts of Neverending story being scary too, like when he had to walk between those statues. Darby O' Gill has some good parts tho. - Corley

If you ask me. Pinnochio and the Emperor of the Night and Fantasia should have made that list. Both of those were DANG freaky. O_o - Digitalpotato

Great call with Judge Doom! I also agree with Care Bears (and before anyone asks, we watched it in daycare). I wasn't scared of the snake scene in Beetlejuice, but I was freaked out by the scene where Geena Davis rips her own face off... and you still had to show that fucking clip! As for Pee-Wee's Big Adventure, the Large Marge scene was edited out of the version I saw.... unfortunately, that damn clown nightmare wasn't.

Other noteworthy childhood scares:

Home Alone 2: Marge's electrocution until he's nothing but a skeleton. When I was kid I hated skeletons. Hell, I still don't like them all that much.
Gremlins: Just all the Gremlins in general. They're cute and cuddly... unless you feed those little bastards after midnight.
Fantasia: That demon guy in the whole Night on Bald Mountain sequence. Beating the crap out of the him in Kingdom Hearts felt like such sweet revenge after a decade of emotional trauma.
The Little Mermaid: Ursula, period. Anytime that octobitch showed up on screen was terrifying. More Kingdom Hearts retribution.
The Brave Little Toaster: This entire movie was messed up beginning to end, but the worst scene is the toaster's nightmare where he gets attacked by (what else?) a freakish fire-fighting clown. Damn clowns...
Superman II: This was probably the worst film of all for me. The scene where he gets in the red sun chamber and loses his powers, and his skeleton starts flashing out... that whole scene is messed up, and in case you forgot my Home Alone 2 mention, I FUCKING HATE SKELETONS! Who in their fucking right mind put disturbing shit like this in these "kids" movies, featuring Superman no less? - MisterC

Damn i couldnt sleep to that headless horseman, i could not even watch at night. After the party he goes into the most dark forest ever and its freaking scary... for a kid. Too bad NC did not put the part when he whistles trying to stay calm but we all knew he was going to meet the evil. - RaD
