Good review. I might actually pick this game up if i feel rich. One thing though. Airstrikes is not new to the series. It was more like a sellingpoint for the first game. But i'm nitpicking. looking forward to more reviews.

I have to say I thought it was a very well put together review. Intro was just the right length/style for the review type you say your going after. While it doesn't do anything extremely unique, (Big gaming websites like Gamespot do much the same sort of review). That said, as the AVGN said in his response to the critic, anyone can review any game they want, its not a competition, and just because a style is done by others does not make it an invalid format for someone else to use. The addition of some additional serious content may very well help give this site some more diversity, which I think is one of TGWTG's goals isn't it?

Keep up the good work! I look forward to seeing more of these. I would suggest A-that you focus on recently released titles. With the style your using the reviews shouldn't take a great deal of time to put out, so they can be fairly timely, which is something others are not doing a lot of/at all. (Smash brothers melee did come out some time ago for example) and C-review Spore when it comes out! Or Fall Out 3, if your planning to do titles which will be cross platform.

aside from that little mistake, this is an accurate review.

I don't agree though with the complaint about the tanks, I always did ok with it.

the one real problem I had with it was that there were missions that were actually unplayable (namely the parrot smuggling mission from the rastafarian pirates)

After playing through the PS3 version, it seems to be slightly less buggy than what I've heard the X-Box 360 version to be. It was fun to blow things up, and level an entire base with a tank or two, but I agree that the game needs some serious polish. Design choices and bugs make the game okay... but nothing I'd want to own. Sure, it's worth a rental, but no more than that, I say.

This was a good review, with clear and professional touch. It's nice to see that people can still deliver serious reviews rather than turning everything into either a rant or a big joke. This really sounded like those Gamespot video reviews or those that come on TV (as mentioned by Quang).

This game looked awfully lot like a GTA game out on the wild, which makes me think about trying it out. That is when I have enough money to buy a game next time.

Anyway, nice review. Do post more of these.

Apparently with this guys over the top demands from the gaming industry he should have been born in about 10 years from now so he can experience the "next" generation. People still have fun with these games, this game is like the explosive version of Crackdown the gameplay is ALWAYS more important then the graphic, take a look at Crackdown and Team Fortress 2, hits and have a very solid fanbase, but dont have the best graphics. Cry me a river if you dont like oddball characters and no difference in the storyline by choosing a different character, in all honesty it takes away from the experience if you are FORCED to chose different characters to get the whole theme to the game.

Thanks for this review, I have been thinking about this getting this game but I wanted to see a good review of it first to get more of an idea on what it's like, despite its bad points it still looks like a lot of fun to play! Looks like I'll be doing some more overtime in the supermarket before I go back to uni so I cant afford it

i think that was a good and fair i only got the game recently because of the later uk release date (5th sep) but from what i have played of it so far its a bit disspointing in a few areas.I loved the 1st 1 because the factions were mostly countreys like SK NK China and the UN but this 1........ yea thats a fair score

A nice review. Your ideas were well-put together, and it had a good audio-visual quality.

Seems like pretty helpful review that is better than most of those that reviews hype instead of quality, and definitely better than Zero Punctuation full of sour rants except for certain games. I'll be looking forward to other reviews in the future. What game are you going to review next time?

I agree with the score and all. a few flaws, but still a blast to play. The biggest gripe with me is the repetitive vocal lines. "He is behind that building!"
"He is behind that rock!" "He's over there!" etc just get really annoying fast. That and the girl at base telling you 50,000 times you can return to base for help or talk. Ugh..
