Honestly, I felt this "review" was very lacking. I suppose it really is a rave review, though; he just rambles about how much he likes the game. He even said it was clunky two or three times. I think he's got good presentation but needs to give us more depth to what he's saying.

Constructive criticism time:

1) Not sure if this is supposed to be a comedic series or not (this is a mostly comic video site, after all), but judging by the date in the video, I guess it makes sense why there's no introduction to your style.

2) Personally, I'm not too big on the photography. I understand going for a different look than the typical YouTube video game critic, but I didn't particularly care for the video style you had going.

3) Even though I have no problem whatsoever with the accent, I thought you spoke a tad too quickly. Might want to slow it down a bit, because I had to watch it two times to get a lot of your information.

Maybe the video doesn't do the game justice, but the graphics definitely don't look that unbelievable.

This review was just 'meh' for me. It feels so incomplete. You just didn't go into enough detail with it. For example, you say that the car controls can be clunky. Well, how so? Is it difficult to make turns? Brake? Speed up? Is collision bad? What? Then you mention the "Bourne Instinct" or something similar. What is that? What does it do? Why do some people say it isn't necessary? Why do you think it is?

Sorry to be the question police, but I just didn't get enough information out of this to agree or disagree with you. This is more of an overview than a review.

Because I care...

1)Humor: It appears you have little to none. That's fine, assuming this isn't for comical purposes but to attempt to be serious.
I actually think that works better with the show's style (which actually goes better with the monochrome appearance)

2)Music (Sound in General): Okay, the background music is fine. Your voice, also fine. Put both together, and we now have a mess.
I'm not saying your voice is bad, after all how can I when IT'S INCREDIBLY DIFFICULT TO HEAR YOUR VOICE AT ALL.
So, I recommend you either amplify your voice, speak louder and more clearly, or turn down/off the music.

That's all I can really say, you did an above-mediocre job and hopefully you will be able to remain constantly viewed on the site.

Definately the Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War series at the moment. I've been playing through the campaign modes of Dark Crusade and Soulstorm, and I can't get enough. Those two games are exactly what the first two Dawn of War games should have been. I didn't care much about the plot of the first games, I wanted to play out battles of planet-wide warfare.

Oh, I'm also playing Chrono Trigger and (Once I finish CT) Chrono Cross.

I like the layout of the whole video, it flowed so perfectly before my eyes.

When it comes to games I am still stuck with S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl, just because of the great mods that comes in every now and then. Otherwise I go for the older games, Age of Empires II is a given favorite, as well as a lot of NES and SNES games. At the moment I am trying to remember how to beat the fabulous Grim Fandango, and when I ultimately fail one too many times I can always lean back on Dawn of War to brighten me up.

I love the review, love the style, and how about that lead-in? 1st class on par with anything that has a big budget behind it.

I have to admit, I haven't purchased a game since Civilization IV. That's because I loved God games.. I'm going to throw in with Strategy / RTS.. Don't think 1st person shooters will ever hold my interest for more than a few hours.

All this video is, is some guy talking about how some rather terrible game is his favorite. Matt Damon kept the hell away from this shit storm, because it was a shit storm. The shooting is clunky and terrible, the level design is pisspoor, and there's this idiotic concept that you initiate melee combat with an enemy even though THERE ARE OTHER ENEMIES AROUND WITH GUNS SHOOTING AT YOU whilst you are stuck in a lame ass 3d fighting game with absolutely nothing from why fighting games are good.

The driving is also terrible, in purely mission design alone. LOL DRIVE AROUND IN A CIRCLE WHILST BEIN' CHASED BY POLICE IN AN INVINCIBLE MINI COOPER LOLOLOL. The cars take zero damage and its more like bumper cars. Except without the aspect of fun.

Now moving on to the presentation of this video. The monochromatic filter just looks amateur, like its covering up something. You're giving a synopsis that I could have found in five seconds. You also had the music way too loud and I could barely make out what you were saying at times. Did you watch this video before you submitted it? You also dragged on way too long. You could have ended it 3/4 of the way through and it sounded like you were about to. Listening to you there were plenty of reasons NOT to plop down sixty dollars - how short it was, how its "rock em sock em robots," and you talked about them in a positive light.

You say the game's amazing, then you give a 7.8 out of 10? We have no idea what the hell your scale is, from what you think a 10 is to what you think a 1 is. Number ratings are deceiving as fuck.

Play a goddamn good game, like STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl, and stop playing this shit and saying its amazing. I thought Enter the Matrix was amazing the first time I ever played it, but holy hell, I was 13.

ThatGuy/admin/etc. - what your site needs is quality control. Don't just put up any old video, only put up stuff that's as good as quality or almost as good as what you do, or else you're just bringing the site down.

This is his first video, and in so it's your only look at the guy. I'm sure everyone on this site loved Doug the first time they saw one of his videos. Now for every negative view, there is at least a positive review. If this site right now just stayed with Doug content, we'd be lucky to stay around 20,000 visits a day. With the new people, I can gladly say that we are averaging much much much higher than that. Just because some do not like him, or benzaie or whoever else gets brought in, doesn't change my opinion of the people who are brought in. I like them, others in the company like them, as do a lot of site viewers.

The games i seem to be most playing lately is Mario Kart Wii, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, and also Vice City.
Playing through No More Heroes again, which is fucking awesome and insane.
Metroid Prime Corruption i'm also near the end of my second playthrough.
Shadow of the Colossus and Psychonauts deserve some mention as awesome games. I have to say, though, that the Prince of Persia: Sands of Time trilogy is my overall favorite gaming experience, along with the God of War games.
