Good evening fellow bloggers and nostalgic fans.  We are gathered here today to honor the memory of Nickelodeon, a once grand station for cartoons that used to kick major ass.  Cartoons such as Animaniacs, Tiny Toons, Beetlejuice, Angry Beavers, Doug, Ahh! Real Monsters, Rocket Power, Ren and Stimpy, Rocko's Modern Life, and other shows I can't really remember right now. They also had a few real people shows that were pretty sweet too: Are You Afraid Of The Dark?, Double Dare, Legends of the Hidden Temple, Figure It Out, All That (the early years), Clarissa Explains it All, Hey Dude!, Salute Your Shorts, and a mess of others.

The last few years have been really hit and miss. The following shows I really enjoyed, but people just didn't get into: Danny Phantom, My Life as a Teenage Robot, El Tigre (its funny to me), and even Drake and Josh was pretty good.

But, lately, Nick has really produced some solid stinkers. I figured this out while, in a DESPERATE attempt to find something interesting to watch, I turned on Nick's newest shit show, The Mighty Bee. More like the Mighty BULLSHIT! I can't believe there is a show on Nick in which the main character's FINGER is a main character. It depressed me that the youth of the world is now stuck with what I asume to be rejects until Nick ran out of ideas. Shows such as H2O, Unfabulous, Zoey 101, and iCarly are really making Nick look AWEFUL!!!

And so, we must remember Nick as it once was: An awesome channel for incredible and interesting kids shows. And not for the shit demon it has become.

I most likely will be reviewing the old shows I used to watch on here. So be on the lookout for reviews of classic shows (such as Ren and Stimpy and those others) by me.

How can you not mention Invader Zim?

Anyway, I still watch Nickelodeon even though I'm probably too old for it. I usually just watch it to fill in time as I tend to spend more time on the computer and video games than T.V.

Invader Zim, even though it was a good show, was one of the later cartoons on Nick which came out around the time of Danny Phantom,As Told by Ginger, and My Life as a Teenage Robot which was kept from airing in Japan because it was too similar to Astroboy. This article talks about the shows you would see in the 90s and possibly late 80s and Invader Zim didn't come out til like the early 2000s.

I agree one hundred percent with you. Although I've only enjoyed two current generation Nick shows, Danny Phantom and Avatar.

But you didn't mention the greatness of Kenan and Kel! That show was awesome!

Loved that show, too. I also liked the other two you mentioned, DP and Avatar. They were taken out WAY to early in the game.

Very nice article. I remember those days too. Nick GUTS wasn't that bad of a show either. I also feel as though All That deserves some sort of mention. But all of those shows kicked ass. Thanks for reminding me what to miss again. ^_^

as u already no, Ctooner, i LOOOOOOOVE Invader Zim ( IZ ), LOVE Danny Phantom ( DP ) and love Avatar.

so i'm REALLY mad and confused as to why IZ and DP ended. Avatar defeated the fire lord, theres nothing more u could do in this show, but i'm still mad as to why it ended. IZ on the other hand had to do alot more episodes like "Ten Minutes to Doom.", "Nubs of Doom", Simon sez Doom", another one that ends with doom, "The Trial" and a few others. DP, according to fans that r on tv.com (that includes me, Daffy, and Tina...), should have had a few more episodes. i've been hearing ppl want the return of Dan Phantom (Danny's evil self from Ultimate Enemy.), i'm not so sure if i want that to happen. ppl want to see more of the DP+SM relationship( I NO I DO! ). and i even think a few ppl would like to no what excatly happened to Vlad, even though i'm POSITIVE that he died.
