Final Destination (2000)

Final Destination. Sure, why not? So this movie is about a bunch of stereotypical teenage douchebags who cheat death. Death gets all pissy and stalks their asses throughout the rest of the movie killing them off one by one. Note that death is a force, not an actual slasher, so there is no icon for this film such as Freddy or Leatherface. It is an unusual premise, and one that is handled with relative success. Taking from the likes of Scream, the movie manages to be an unconventional, yet conventional horror film. The deaths in this movie are interesting, bloody, and alot of fun if you like that kind of stuff. There is no nudity from what I can remember, but you can sure as fuck count on some swearing. The acting is mediocre with forgettable performances all around. There is a certain intelligence to the script and story, but nothing near the cleverness of something like Pulp Fiction, or even Scream. 

Overall, if you like seeing teenagers getting killed, this is the movie for you. Great deaths, forgettable teenagers and no cliched killer. As far as horror movies go, you can get a lot stupider and a whole lot worse than this. A fun film for any horror fan, I give it a...

I actually enjoyed this movie. It's always fun to watch people try to out-do a force or an entity. Not really, but it was this time around.
I'm not a huge fan of horror movies. Aside from the original Halloween, T.C.M., and some Alfred Hitchcock flicks, I don't really get into a ton of them. This is one that I remember enjoying. Haven't seen its sequels yet.
