Really strong review, with a good knowledge of the source material and a set of effective parodies. The whole bus/smog joke killed me.

Nice but how come the video resolution is really small o_O

Because the video embed function usually puts the videos in quite small. I'd recommend anyone embedding YouTube videos resize them to 480x360.

Oh, and good video, by the way. It made me laugh quite a bit.

Pretty good. I liked the whole Sailor Moon says at the end. You could've bashed the show a bit more for some comedy, but other than that pretty good.

That review was pretty damn good. And is it just me, or does "That Chick with the goggles" have a certain Rosario Dawson quality to herself? (Just watched "Clerks 2" last night, so efinately a fresh comparison) Either way, good stuff

Very nice my evil twin. I never thought we were such big Sailor Moon fans.

I was about half an inch from my jaw slamming Satan on the head from it's drop, but then the video cut away before the striptease. WASUPWITDAT?!

Actually though, the entire video was pretty funny. I love the Sailor Says jokes, and overall it was all very entertaining. You once again prove yourself er uh... me.

That was perfect! It had a great show no one liked, did a full mocking complete with transformation sequence... that is a strong submission people will have to work really hard to beat.

Not bad. I have to agree with Tyler a bit, in that you seem a bit restrained, which is really a shame because you had some really funny quips. I think you might want to go ahead and take things up a notch. Play up your reactions a bit... I mean, you don't have to channeling every single angry reviewer out there, but I think if you let yourself have a bit more fun you could shape up to do really well.

Then again, you had the guts to do a Cosplay within two minutes of the opening. Who the hell am I to talk about bravery?

Excellent work. Extremely funny, fits right into the site, and the bits integrated into the review worked perfectly. I think benzaie put it best, the bar has now been set extremely high. This may be a bit of the video geek in me, but the biggest thing I can find wrong mechanically is the lighting. It's sometimes dark and inconsistent. A basic lighting kit would do wonders, if possible. Also, you might want to look at the rule of thirds (unless you are stylistically going for something in particular) to clean up the shot framing. (Watch Doug's videos, you'll see it in action.) But there is a ton of potential here. Keep up the good work.

Thanks a whole bunch you guys! It means a lot to me to hear such nice things. It's true that I am pretty shy... doing this is like jumping over a wall for me every time, but it's getting easier.. Though I think for this one I was under a lot of pressure to try and do well.

Regardless of if I win the contest or not, I look forward to making more videos in the future AND with a better set of equipment! Back at home I'm a bit stunted with what I have accessible to me to use. But once I get back to school I'll have access to light kits, better cameras, HELP ( so I don't have to film everything on my own), MICROPHONES, Sound Mixers and all sorts of crazy stuff! (I work at campus tech!) So I'm looking forward to bumping up the quality! Hopefully 10 fold!

Also, hoping to get better at my acting too! I'm taking an acting class this semester so who knows, that just may be a big boost to my charisma... But all in all I really appreciate everything that everyone has said, and I'll take all criticism into mind.

Very funny review, I hope you win the Nostalgia Chick contest, because I think this is the best one I've seen (granted I've only seen, like, three but that doesn't change the fact that this review rocks!).

Very funny script as well grear editing and special effects. I couldn't make head or tail of what the show was about, but that didn't matter (plus you sort of made fun of the fact that adults couldn't understand it at the end smilies/cheesy.gif). My only criticism is that sometimes (especially with the anime drug spoof thing at the end) I found it a little hard to hear you over the music. But that was just a couple of moments in the video and mostly the audio was fine.

Keep up the good work.

Ah, Sailor Moon. I still remember it. For some reason I got up each week day at 5:30 AM to watch it. O_o That and the American mishmash that is Robotech were the gateway drugs to anime. Ah, the memories!

I liked it. I didn't love it, but I liked it. The absolute highlight was the transformation sequence at the beginning. I also liked the "moon" joke thing you did. I think it would have been much better if it was more...polished. And longer, or with more jokes, it seemed a bit thin, especially considering how there's soooo much you can do with Sailor Moon-Rini the most annoying kid ever, Michelle and whats-her-face who was a boy/girl, the really weird romance between Serena and Darren...but good job, haha I used to looove Sailor Moon.

I think she's good. But she just misses something.
I know hardly anybody(especially a woman) could pull the 'That Guy'
but I think she .. I don't know there's something missing here..

I think her videos are entertaining, here videos are good and most

'Nostalgia Chick'? ... well that's something to think about.

I guess my joke is too esoteric for you. You see... in the ORIGINAL uncut sailor moon, the girls are truly and honestly naked during their transformation. It wasn't really me trying to do a striptease. Also, if you think I 'threw that together without any thought' you obviously know not a lot about editing...

However, that's all right for you to think that. Everyone's entitled to their opinion I supposes, but I thought you'd like to know the facts a bit first.

Great job on this entry! Personally, I'm a fan of the instrumental music used for the dubbed version of the series (especially the transformation sequence... what were the Japanese thinking by just having "Doo doo doo" repeated over and over?), though I totally agree that "Power of Love" is just a dumb, dumb song.

Thank you! I Think though the clip of which you are speaking, (The abomination clip) there's a reason for that. There only exists that version of that promo clip. It's shot at some sort of convention and it's done with a handy cam. T_T There exists no real version of that clip, if there did, rest assured that I would have used it smilies/cheesy.gif

I never even realized the forced morals in the end of each episode existed until now. I didn't realize there was supposed to be a storyline either, I just remember some random characters appearing and disappearing.

I remember that even as a 6 (or around there) year old I thought it was stupid how each show was basically identical in how it played out. I also hated that the bad guys never won (I think they won for the first part of a two part episode I think? lol..). Thank God for the internet and not having to watch the garbage people are willing to licence and English dub on TV.

I don't think it does anime justice to associate Sailor Moon with it... yay for impossibly short skirts that never revealed anything for keeping this remotely interesting (that and hoping that one day one of the good guys would finally die) I guess...
