Now I don't know if I should be proud or ashamed of this but barring maybe four or five, I've seen every Anime in that video! I could list em, but I don't wanna crush you guys with a wall-o-text. But seriously that's a great AMV, and I recognised it from the closing credits of AMV Hell, I'd thought that was original but apparently not. It's nice to know where it came from.
I like the AzuManga Daioh one from AMV Hell3 better. I'm a rabid Anime fan in fact it tends to be all I watch anymore, and so of course I really like AMV's, but like you only the good ones. AMV Hell, is a fav of mine simply cause it a lot of people working together to make on big AMV.
I was watching and it got to number 1 and was just like 'well of course' I couldn't imagine anyone more suited for the number 1 spot but her. I guess it's because a toon, but all the real people in the show are turned on by her.
That's really rather interesting. I love the first Death Note theme so much it's my ring tone, and I hate the second theme with an ever burning passion. Odd, other than that I really enjoy your count down, mostly because it was pure Anime. I'm OC when it comes to Anime.
Never seen it before it mah life! But I used to watch some really good kids game shows when I was young, all have since been cancelled and game shows nowadays are to full of greedy people who are only in it for the prizes rather than having fun.
You know it's interesting. I always liked Captain Planet because it was just random and great to laugh at. But I never knew about the episodes you mentioned. I must have been watching a different more kid friendly version of something, because they never ever talked about something like Aids, or anything mature for that matter.
I actually paused it as soon as the song started then started reading the comments. I didn't realise there was anything other than a Rick Roll, until I read the comment about the politics, so I figured he was reviewing a Rick Roll, so I pressed play again. It was quite awkward to watch. In fact I'm typing this comment while listening to the last bit of it, which is of course at the top of the screen and unseeable by me who is now at the bottom of the screen. You know, I never got what was funny about being Rick Rolled. Where did it start, who started it, why did they start it, why pick this song, why did they think it would be funny and why did it become to popular?
Forgive me for reviewing your review, but there's something I just gotta say. Pokemon isn't meant to make sense, and as you pointed out in the closing moments neither are the other cartoons we love so dearly. I loled at your review and realised that some stuff in that movie was pretty cheesy, and yes there isn't a deep and detailed plot or an explanation about what Pokemon are or where the show is set etc. But I think that's the point. For all the people who played the first set of games knew that Mewtwo was the final capture and Mew, to my knowledge was the extra Pokemon we'd never seen or heard of before. 150 Pokemon was the max at the time and having 151, was a big deal. At least for the innocent minds of children anyway. Children get bored easily anyone knows that so to spend the first half of the movie explaining the plot would turn kids off real quick. Also about the violence and fighting, Pokemon aren't meant to beat eachother to the point of death, that fact is in the games, tv show and of course the movie. Pokemon 'faint' when they lose, not 'die', which removes the killing other people factor which would make the show violent. The vikings are stupid I'll give you that but then Team Rocket is the comic relief eliment of the show and are regularly doing stupid things, although at the beginning of the series they were actually serious and dangerous, what happened to that? I find that one of the big things you did about this movie and all of the kids movies is that the plot is usually poor and the emphasis is on the special effects. Well yeah, most kida would rather watch something explode and see Pikachu shocking someone that have a deep and meningful plot to follow. That goes for the majority of kids movies. It's gotta be simple to understand but doesn't need all that much logic behind it. But I'll admit Pokemon the first movie, is confusing if you hadn't either played the game or seen the cartoon series, but I figure their demographic was kids who already knew about it. Overall it did make me, laugh which is I'm sure your intention but seriously it just made me wanna go watch it again. I like Pokemon, have for the longest time and I have seasons 1 through 5 in box sets. Sad I know but it's one of those shows you can watch without having to think much about it. And that my friend is why those shows are so popular. When your parents come in an ask you why Meowth can talk, or why The TMNT were raised by a rat, the answer always is 'it just is'.
It's so funny! Those two are always at each others throats, and seems to hate each other so much, but in reality I think they really like each other. No one could hate someone at much as the NC says he hates the AVGN without secretly liking him. Lol.
