90's Sports Montage

LOL! This is one of the best movies NC has ever made!
I can't possibly agree more with him. The slow-to-fast clapping, a dog playing sports and being part of a team,...
XD, Cheerios 2 had a cameo!
How did I know NC was gonna use Rocky's theme? It's like the coolest heroic theme an 80s movie has ever had! I was thinking about it just when he started talking about the themes in general. |

2001: A Space Odyssey

I didn't watch all the movie. I've seen the "apes" fighting and that space psychedelic journey (and a little something after it). And I gotta tell ya that these scenes were so dull and long, it hurts. It's the worst movie I've ever seen.
Good job on the video, TGWTG. |

I can't believe you shamelessly copied AVGN's sequence. Boy, I wasn't expecting that. That was awesome! Keep up the good work. Will you make more video game reviews soon? We won't mind if some were already made by AVGN.
This video is hilarious. Conglaturation. |

Ask ThatGuy: Episode 5

In the question about the screamers, I prepared myself, and as soon as the letters were coming clear, it didn't bother me a bit. I mean, I could totally tell what was gonna happen. I turned the volume down too, but it wasn't all that bad. And it was funny what happened afterwards. |

Home Alone

Every single time I watch this movie, I can't stop laughing at it. All the funny parts are hilarious in both movies with Macaulay Culkin. Home Alone 1 and 2 are two of my favorite movies ever. They don't make many sense, but you gotta admit is funny to watch. |

Hilarious review!
I love NC's hysteric voice. Later on, TGWTG used that voice to impersonate the Bum. I feel so disappointed! Will NC ever use that voice again in a review? |

Ask ThatGuy: Episode 21

I laughed so hard in the part where he takes the glasses off! I think he's a jerk, though...
- I want another Star Wars movie!!! LOL I though the nerds were the ones who had glasses, not the opposite. (PS: I'm just joking)
You have tons of clothes all alike? You're like a cartoon character! |

I admit not all your jokes are good, in my opinion. But you still make lots of good ones. |

Tom and Jerry the Movie

Man, that was a great review!
But wait... I enjoyed this movie!
I love Tom & Jerry. When I got cable, I got an american cartoon channel (CN), and my favorite cartton was Tom & Jerry. Even before I had cable, I loved watching that show when I was on kindergarden. My favorite episode is probably the one where Tom plays the piano. You know, the one that got an Oscar (the producers were so proud of it they showed it in the opening scene), and which the Looney Tunes copied at some point of the time. But I don't know, I like lots of episodes. I don't like the ones where Tom is being threaten by someone, and Jerry manages to do something to make Tom get beaten up, by whoever is threatening him. Neither do I like the episodes where they're drawn in a weird way, the ones that start with an opening sequence where Tom's head appears in the MGM circle. They're freaky story-wise and art-wise.
Now, about the movie.
I liked it. Seeing Tom and Jerry in a movie plot (whatever would be) and seeing them drawn differently (exactly what's done when a cartoon is transformed into a movie), and seeing them with voices. Shoot me if you want (please don't), but I enjoyed seeing them talking. In the show, when they talked, it was just to make fun, so the voices were goofy, in the movie they made them sound like themselves, IMO. But I won't trade the series for this.
About the songs, I didn't pay much attention to them. Why? Because I speak portuguese, and by the time I watched this movie, I couldn't understand what they were saying. I could only listen.
I remember the part where that stupid doctor is approaching the ice cream car. It creeped me too. But I thought, meh, maybe they wanted to show us that he's not just "acts nice outdoors, but steals innocent pets, and hurts them" evil, he's just plain evil. That's the impression I got.
Now that I grew up, I realize that I probably enjoyed the movie because of what meant to me at the time. Since I couldn't understand it, I could only ask to who was around me what was going on. And with that, only the moment and the situation itself were the ingredients I needed to turn it into a good moment.
But it's harmless. I mean, it can't hurt the original show, and I would watch it again. Without forgetting what's bad and what's not.
Great review, NC! You've done it again! I loved when you spat the water melon out. The whole moment was hilarious. Top notch! |
