I've only heard the title song from this album, but what I heard was plain and simply God-awful. I was utterly shocked by how poor and foreign it sounded compared to other great Metallica songs. The fact that there wasn't a single guitar solo in the whole song was completely jarring, but after hearing that there isn't a SINGLE guitar solo in the whole album, it just boggled my mind in a very bad way.
I might have to check out Purify simply to hear how bad it is. Anyways, good review.
Holy shit, that trailer was awful. Honestly, that has the potential to be the worst film in history (same thing I said about Meet the Spartans). Why do people actually go to these movies and support the creators? My prediction is that this is #1 at the box office its opening week (as terrible as that sounds. Hell, MTS beat Rambo, so why the hell not?)
But seriously, that was easily the worst trailer I've ever seen. And that's no exaggeration, I think I can safely say that compared to every other trailer I've ever seen.
Oh, and you gain awesome points for mentioning Walk Hard. That movie was awesome, and agreed, criminally underrated. Judd Apatow = good at spoof genre. Aaron Seltzer and Jason Friedberg = unholy mess.
I really hope that idiot AVGN fans didn't actually do that to NC on YouTube. That really fucking infuriates me. I mean, if it is, then they obviously saw that AVGN had about half a dozen disclaimers in his video about it being a satire, so how fucking dumb can they be? Jesus, some people really piss me off.
AVGN and NC are both awesome. Deal with it.
Anyways, I was more than surprised to see that AVGN finally responded. That is actually pretty sweet, and good to see that TGWTG got a boost in publicity.
