It is a bit disappointing that we get 3 "long" campaigns for solo player instead of giving every car a different driver and a different ending like:
Beat the story mode, get a scene of driving up to Calypso.
"You wish for world peace? Your wish is granted!"
*cut to everybody in the world except you dead*
then cut to Calypso saying something really smart ass while laughing like a comic book super villain.
Still, the campaigns are pretty fun, and they really highlight just how far FMV has come. Watching Spoony's FMV hell videos or having played Twisted Metal 1 might scare you, but the FMV in Twisted Metal (PS3) are downright amazing at times.
You also have so many modes and options to do different things. Hell, I'm still enjoying figuring out the "secrets" with most of the stages like most everybody else.
Wish the multiplayer would have been "smooth running" from the start with the network problems, but it didn't take long for them to patch it, and gave me time to finish the story modes.
It really is a throwback to the past games and really fun.
Twisted Metal is a bad title, I keep confusing it with the PS1 version.
Also in the Twisted Metal games you had a lot of re-playability, you have interesting characters and you wanted to see how it ends.
I don't know if this Twisted Metal has that type of stories. You said 3 campaigns, does that mean each character doesn't have their ending?
Twisted metal on PSP was pretty good as well, but the boss kind of ruined the game for me. The way to beat him was boring and stupid.
Twisted Metal Black is definitely the king of the series, I was hoping this game would take the place of number 1, Apparently not.
