Not that I've ever seen. I don't know why I bother watching his reviews any more. "Hey, Sage has a new review! I wonder why this game sucks?" That's gotta be my thought process. Too bad most of the games he reviews don't actually suck. They're mediocre at worst.
Joke post?
Because seriously, you can't possibly have seen any of Bennett's reviews except for this one.

As you said, you're pretty level-headed about games, and good at finding good in bad and vice versa. So when you out and out say there are no redeeming qualities about a game, I believe you. I've never heard of Dead to Rights, but perhaps this is why. If it's so cliched does nothing that hasn't been done, and does it all worse anyway, it's no surprise that it winds up being bad. Will definately stay away.

yeah man i gotta agree with you on that. I played the ORIGINAL dead to rights...This is an Alternate universe ripoff that i noticed as soon as i saw his father alive in the beginning and it instantly killed all of my respect and aw for even the combat, which despite having to hold the sneak button for shadow, i actually thoroughly enjoyed

05.06.2010 - 04:51 | ThoraxProductionsThat's to bad, I mean it LOOKS like a really fun game. But the controls and story bog it down... And the gameplay, and the mechanics. But it still LOOKS like it would be fun.

05.06.2010 - 10:36 | Kent_LangI love your usual reviews and it shows that you're able to speak the truth about games. In truth - there are games that are pretty bad but most are just average and you're able to perfectly describe their mediocrity most of the time and that makes you an amazing reviewer. Better than people like Angry Joe who just hypes all games that looks prettier than Oblivion. Don't get me wrong - his videos are equally awesome but Bennet is the better *reviewer*, I'd say that Joe have some good "black and white" entertainment value but he's not the kinda guy I would rely on when deciding what game to purchase even if his videos are quite fun to watch.

05.06.2010 - 11:06 | patriotpyroI'm not ashamed to admit I liked the first Dead to Rights. (okay, maybe a little) but this game did nothing but make me bored out of my skull, even if the deaths were nice to look at.

this game is not as bad as he makes it sound. it was a fun romp. worth a full price buy, no but for a rental it was good and when it drops to half price its worth a snag. complaints about the voice acting when you praise the god awful voices and script of heavy rain. seriously? and bitching about holding down the trigger when playing as shadow? really do you bitch when you have to hold a trigger to drive in a game? i hardly agree with any of these reviews and this was no exception.

I actually enjoyed the hell out of this game. It removes all the tedium and needless fetch quests (aka prison/sewer levels ... that you did twice) out of the original and left a streamlined action movie-type game. Its not a homerun by any means, but I had a good 8 hour romp that just boiled down to super-cop-versus-world fun.
Solid rent or discount buy (when you see it for like $20-$30)
Well, that's my two cents anyways ;)

I definitely appreciate still giving out you level-headed review even though it's a game that makes you get in front of the camara to clarify something just like you did with fracture and when you gave an example about the voice acting I can't help but wounder was I hearing the same voice that Roy Campbell had?

05.06.2010 - 16:28 | tyrong kojyI never played the original, but I played the sequal. It was touted in review after review as incredibly better than the original. That was when I lost faith in humanity. The second game was horrible, and this one looks to be the exact same thing. How this ever became a franchise, because apparently the original was just like both of the sequals, I will never know.

I was actually considering getting this game as I thought theres now way they can amage three terrible games in a series in a row they must have done something new with this one and made it playable but by the sound and looks of it the game is dire still.
How do games like this get the OK when Timesplitters 4 gets put on the back burner, and Dot Hack doesnt get a European release, heck they could have made a Dot Hack game this generation and made it a true MMO (yes I know the PS2 had/ has one in Japan but it could be done so much better this generation.)

I actually tried the game, believe it or not, and it is quite a playable game. Sure, it is not Metal Gear Solid or Heavy Rain, but seriously guys, it is not easy to make a game or even a story, so pull your horses. They tried at least to make a good game.
Don't use this "I can't do this but still do it" gag, it's older than Methuselah's beard.
