I'm only a minute in so far and I'm both anxious, mildly amused, and slightly offended. This is going to be one hell of a trip.

Only the most craziest masochist would ever sit down and read a entire bad fanfic from print, usually if you read them on FF.net you have the pleasure to use the scroll button and skip to the end, but not you Sage you sit there bravely and with no shame read these horrible fics from beginning to end like a matyr of bad literature.

Seeing what you go through to bring us entertainment gives me the strength to go on and watch these vidoes no matter how bad the fanfic is. ^__^

Of all the pointless stupid sadistic stories he had to turn a shonen (action adventure anime about a boy protagonist) about teenage ninjas into fucking dawsen's creek! HOLY FUCK! I'll be right back im gonna go drink a 5th of jack and pound my head for the nest 2 hours and when the ringing stops I hope i'll forget about this terrible terrible fanfic.

I can't even watch this video because I know a lot of bands, such as My Chemical Romance, will be made fun of while being unfairly classified as "emo." MCR has always been lambasted by morons who heard "Helena" once and immediately called them "shit" without really giving them a proper listen. My Chemical Romance is far from "emo"...as much as that may be a shock to some of the bandwagon bashers. The band is almost pure rock, and have even said themselves that "emo is shit." Do they have a couple of more sad, personable songs? Yeah...but if that warrants what "emo" is then nearly every artist past, present, and future are all "emo."

Looks I got to a few people by pointing out their ignorance. Thank you to those 8 people who are willing to use their brains.

This so much. It really makes me facepalm at the fact people will call MCR, or Linkin Park, or Green Day goth/emo/shit without listening to anything BESIDES CRAWLING IN MY SKIN.
It's even worse is that I like them, and I'm like three cheeseburgers away from looking like Mr. Sage.

I would be fine with Green Day if they didn't call themselves punk. Besides that, I find them slightly repetitive, but decent enough. I also agree that Linkin Park is not emo. It's Nu Metal. MCR is also not emo. I just don't happen to like them.

Yeah, I'm just gonna sit this one out. Try to pick stories that don't hurt from now on. Rather, pick retarded ones in the vane of Halos in Space or Root Her, those were funny.

Wow was this painful to watch! I'm not even a huge Naruto fan and this angered me on so many levels. I was literally pulling at my hair at times it was THAT bad. Why do people insist on making fanfiction that doesn't even relate to the characters their using? I never read fanfiction because of shit like this. Why are you making the damn characters act, well, so out of character. Gaara would never lift up his spirits because of an MCR concert and the heart of the car- I mean friendship. Sasuke would NOT jam out and Hinata wouldn't loathe Sakura. I haven't watched the show in 3 years and I know this much!
Plain and simple, brush up on the personalities of the characters you are using before using then in a story, otherwise piss off.

To add to that, what reason would Sasuke have to interact with Hinata in the first friggin' place? I mean, I'm under the impression that he doesn't even know she exists half the time

Well that was crap. The sad thing is I've read worse Naruto ones. Can't think of any titles off the top of my head but that's mostly because I'm attemting to repress those memories.

And I don't care if I get yelled at for this, cuz due to my lack of having a life I read a lot of fanfiction, and there actually ARE some decent Naruto ones out there. Yeah, I know, hard to believe, but it's not impossible, just...bit unlikely. The ones I'm thinking of are Team Eight by S'Tarkan and Reload by Case13, the most enjoyable Naruto fanfics I've read IN MY OPINION. They're well written, well thought out, have actual PLOT, the ninjas actually act like ninjas, and STUFF HAPPENS.

So while admittedly about 99.99934846% of Naruto fanfiction is crap, isn't that true of most fanfiction in general, and the reason why the Sage set up this show in the first place? There ARE good ones out there for most series; it just might take you a few months of fruitless searching to find it. :D

You think this is bad? Man, you haven't seen bad until you're stuck reading a Mary-Sue/Sasuke fanfic. It's like this only AT LEAST two times more inconsistent, poorly written, and contains 88% more grossly out of character moments.

Granted any fanfic is going to have characters not 100% spot on, but for whatever reason Naruto fandom gets it completely fucked up by turning characters into whatever is easiest; to write and I've never seen an actually decent one that involves the characters of the show in big roles. I guess the ones where people create their own team and make stories about that haven't been that painful to read, but if you're going to do a story with little to no mention of the cast then why even call if fanfiction?

These generalizations come from me and I honestly have very little to say on Naruto other than it seems to have its appeal and although I watched a few episodes I stopped when it started to bore me. For the most part it did have interesting stories and some good characters that I liked. Even with that I still lost interest in it when they had so much goddamn filler and crap storylines.

I read a few fics during the time I watched it and was FORCED to read a Mary-Sue story because an friend I had at the time (not anymore because she was batshit crazy) wrote that kind of crap and based it around her Mary-Sue and Sasuke who she promptly transfigured into even more of a weeping pansy than he already was (not an easy task for a character as whiny as him). Besides that she either made the other characters one-note caricatures of a single aspect of themselves in the series (such as her making Naruto a complete imbecile) or they were insanely out of character, for example Sakura who is generally helpful in the show was turned into a raging sociopath hell bent on killing the OC and Sasuke's relationship (apparently that happens a lot to her in the fanfic community). I'd love to tell how to get her fanfics because they give My Immortal a run for its money as far as shitty prattle and overly detailed parts on how perfect the OC is, but I'd rather not encourage bad writing to be cultivated because I know that if the fic gets attention she'll only write more.

Nothing can stop the power of emo... except for the log.
