Take into consideration that back in 1979 this aired on TV.
On the unedited VHS release, it took 74 minutes for Captain America to get into his costume. With commercials, that's over 90 minutes waiting for something to happen.
The Matt Salinger film had more dignity then this!

This movie was one of the reasons that I really disliked superheroes when I was a kid. Seriously, this movie is traumatizing if this is the first superhero movies you've ever seen. It's just that bad.
It's good to know that superhero movies have gotten much better since then.

When people blog about what an awful movie Cap 1990 was, I want to scream BUT WHAT ABOUT THE REB BROWN CAP!? Thanks for setting the record straight, that THIS is a worse version of Cap than the 1990 straight to video movie. At least that movie was a little more faithful to the origin, the costume, the WW2 story and cryogenic man-out-of-his-time aspect. And it had close approximation of a real cap villain.

I guess the insomnia clouded my mind, but the Dr. Strange one was not terrible, especially with the dude rocking the porn-stache.

Man, at least Batman and Robin had some camp entertainment value in it. And, you know, ACTION SECNES. Yeah, watching the Dynamic Duo fight baddies on ice skates was more entertaining.

I've seen [i]Captain America[/i] (1990) and I was aware of this television show, but I never knew about [i]Captain America II: Death Too Soon[/i]. Loved all the inconsistencies you caught and the Jack Bauer scene you stuck in there (I'm a BIG fan of [i]24[/i]).

I remember what a stinker this was, but was blissfully unaware they cooked up a sequel... :X
There are a few revolvers that can be silenced, but they're generally hard to come by, with the exception of the ol' Nagant M1895. You can get 'em real cheap, if you shop around - $60 ~ $100, last I looked. When you pull the ridiculously heavy trigger, the cylinder moves forward to form a gas seal with the barrel.

PS you can make a silenced revolver, the soviets made one for use in assassinations back in the old days. It pushes the cylinder forward before it fires.
