Now, when you were talking about Radical Games and listing off their bad games, I wholehearthly disagree The Simpsons Hit & Run was a bad game. Love it.
Otherwise, you made another good video and now I finally get why it took so between this video and Hudson Hawk. You had to play this piece of crap! It makes sense! Good luck on your next game.

12.09.2010 - 07:35 | LardoThe game is shitty, I'll give you that, but most of your "problems" with the movie don't make any sense whatsoever. For one, you were suggesting Kyle and Sarah should have infiltrated an army base, lead the Terminator there, watched it kill a lot of people and hope that eventually somebody would have blown it up or something? You've got to be kidding me. Their purpose was to run and hide, so T-800 would never find them (and it would've probably worked, btw, if Sarah didn't call her mother), which seems pretty damn logical and totally possible to me. The whole police station shootout was a tragical accident.
Second of all, do you have any idea how much pressure a crushing machine is capable of applying? Me neither, but you certainly cannot compare it to a bullet, which totally flattens on impact WITH A HUMAN BONE, let alone a reinforced metal alloy or whatever. Sure, a FMJ 5.56 round fired from a Colt M16 has much more penetrative power than a 9mm Beretta round, so such a remarkable bullet resistance is slightly unbelievable, but if a hydraulic press would turn out to be unable squash T-800, that, I dare say, would be complete bullshit.

If you are Skynet and you have a timemachine that you know you're only going to get one use out of because your defense network is broken and you're in the process of losing the war with humanity - wouldn't you send the Terminator back in time *TO YOURSELF* at a point before the resistance started?! Load it up with all the tactical information you had at that point, all the battles you've lost and use that information to change things.
At the very least send back the time machine info so you can do an even better "do-over."

12.11.2010 - 07:56 | LardoFirst of all, that seems too complicated. After the very first battle that was originally lost and now won, all the subsequent data would have been rendered useless, because that battle would have changed the course of history once again. Second of all, that would be a cliche. I mean, using time travel to prevent yourself from making certain mistakes is just so blatantly obvious and uninspiring. Also, that would be a complete change of premise. It might not be a bad thing (though personally I don't see how one would make a good movie out of it), but you can't blame Cameron for not following this course of action. Personally, I think that killing the leader of the resistance was a damn good idea. Why bother winning the battles, if you can avoid them entirely?

BOO!
I mean, hey, I like your videos, but come on. The Terminator rules! And what about Terminator 2? That film is AWESOME. I don't think you have to be a kid to think that the T-1000 (liquid metal) is pretty cool. And Cameron does a good job with pacing, making it a GREAT action film, in which you don't really ever lose interest, because Cameron keeps it together really well. I say T2 is better than Die Hard.

I have to agree with Lardo. Your logic makes no sense. You didn't even mention time travel which alot of people nick-pick these movies for. I don't understand how you can equate the power of a hydrolic press to a couple of bullets??? As far as force per square inch goes, the hydrolic press wins hands down, and even IT took some time to crush the terminator.
And maybe I was mistaken but did suggest that the Terminator has or could have free will? If so we are not watching the same movie.

I'm shocked that you are not a fan of the Terminator series,Lordkat, but hey it is no biggie to me.
So you know your physics. I always did suck at math.
As for the game itself, yep typical crap I come to expect from movie licenses.
My only concern is that you don't pestered about the AVGN already talking about this game.
I don't care or let it bother me that some of the games you cover have already been done by the AVGN. You have much more to contribute and I doubt you two would share the same taste and opinions.
Moving on,I feel your pain.

12.11.2010 - 02:24 | Sifer2I'm not sure Kat's nitpick issues are even that bad.
I mean he says they should tell the Police but they do an the Police don't believe them an think Kyle should be locked up. Terminator then owned the Police.
An he suggests they should lure the Terminator into a Military base cause he would be too stupid to go around it? Terminator isn't that dumb. He is smart enough to use fake voices to trick people he isn't going to needlessly stroll through a place with tons of soldiers for no reason. Logic wise at best it would only slow him down at worst get him destroyed why would he do that?
As for the last one it may be a fair point that if bullets couldn't dent him the pressure machine couldn't crush him. But its a nitpick really.

The endoskeleton of the Terminator does get damaged, especially when it got hit by the speeding truck. You can see it achilles "tendon" is snapped, and its vision glitches. And then it gets blow'd up, and loses both legs, its pelvis and a hand.
Reese tries to warn the cops, but dr. Silberman diagnoses him "a loon".
There's a different between random bullet impact and constant pressure from a flat surface generated by a hydraulic press.
LordKat however is right about RotM and Salvation. All Terminator logic is just thrown out of the window there. Both movies make about as much sense as this game.

01.31.2011 - 12:32 | khadgar64So wait, the ending says you crushed the T-101 and not the T-800?
Good job Kyle, now who's gonna stop the T-1000?
