Oh Yeah! Snake Rattle N' Roll! I loved this game as a kid, though I never beat it. I only made it to the final boss with only one life to spare, and the timer ran out before I managed to kill the foot.
I know that the games you play are hard, but what do you think about them? Are they enjoyable to play or do you just punish yourself through the games trying to beat them? Would be interesting to know if they are good but hard or bad and hard.

I had this game as a kid, and I always used to skip to Level 3 by jumping on a secret platform that jumped you two levels ahead. All and all, I never made it past Level 5, and I only saw Level 7 once with the help of a Game Genie.

I never beat this game, I got as far as the leap of faith door but never got to the final foot. I consider making it that far an achievement in and of itself.
I still love this game though, I had a lot of fun playing it.

I just pissed myself when I saw what game you were doing. This is one of the few games I remember playing all the time with my brother on the NES when I was really little, and to this day I still say it's my favorite NES game, despite not really remembering much of it.
I am so glad that I get to see it again!

I remember this game as a kid, I could never get past the water level due to the 2D/3D thing.
Also that last stair... that is just plain evil. I mean out of all the games I've played, and all the games I've seen you play that has got to be the single most difficult, annoying, and down right mean part of a game.

Hey! I thought save states were against the rules. You're using save states! There is no way you would keep getting to the same point with exactly 39 seconds left.

He mentioned on his website that it was just to get more footage of him attempting the jump to demonstrate how incredibly difficult it is. I'm sure at one point he ran through the game without using save states. But yeah, apparently fans on his website are leaving him in droves for not pointing attention to that oversight.

You might have had to play through a tougher than quantum physics in a tornado game but at least you didn't have to play Grabbed by the Ghoulies. I think Rare was better off when they made games that caused cancer than blighting the world with the horrible attempts at games they make today.
Congrats on surviving this game though. You are a Super Player.

05.11.2010 - 05:04 | SvenThis was one of my favourite two-player NES games. Lots of fun competing for the pibbles with my brother. :)
But, we never did finish the game except for with the help of the Game Genie, which gives you infinite lives and a lot more jumping distance (occasionally so much that you could jump onto sections of the next level, which would crash the game :S )

Yeeah, I loved this game! Level 9 & 10 are insanely hard, but with enough extralives collected on the first 8 stages, they are beatable.
Controls takes some time getting used to, but it´s surprisingly fun to play. Don´t bother the 2-player co-op though, it´s too hard to follow each others on the tricky stages.
Imo Battletoads is way harder than this game, (haven´t beaten that) the rant about mixing the games cracked me up :lol:
