I find it strange that you didn't mention the almost crippling glitch in Icemans stage where one of the #(%*^&() platforms was programed to be AIR!
....... Also, I mentioned this on your site but you need to really work on two things, talking too much without adding footage as an example and having long stretches of footage where you say nothing. I think a possible solution is to eliminate allot of the footage of yourself and instead sync it to actual game footage, yes it's nice to give people a face for the reviewer but unless you're actually doing something like making hand gestures or using props, it's really unnecessary and those long pauses really kill the videos appeal.

Interesting views of the game.
I always started with Bomb Man, then went to Guts Man and so forth.
Never had TOO much trouble with the stages and such.
Never knew that trick about the clone. Will have to try it next time I play it.
For the bubble bot or whatever it's called, the trick is to blow up his first few forms with the buster, THEN use the blocks when he's about at half speed and thus getting faster. It makes the fight easier if you do it that way.
But if you think he's annoying in the original, try the PSP version of Mega Man in "Mega Man: Powered Up". More annoying in that one, trust me.
I also started with Bomb man, then went to guts man, then followed as you went.
I always found Bomb mans stage to be the easiest, atleast for me.
Best thing I did was buying the Mega Man Anniversary Collection for the ps2.
Oh, you say that now. But Anniversary Collection doesn't let you use the Thunder Beam pause trick. As such, 1 and 8 are the only games on there I haven't beaten yet.

11.08.2009 - 01:05 | ScimmiaI've seen all of your videos here and on youtube and they're all awesome. I noticed that they're finally allowing people to vote on your videos here. Does that mean that you're finally going to be accepted as a permanent addition to the staff here? I really hope so.

11.08.2009 - 01:19 | OzymandiasWeird. Everyone keeps saying it's really hard but the only thing I had trouble with were those FREAKING PLATFORMS in Gutsman's level. (I hate you, platforms)

Would you mind if I took on the
Like running through wet paper towels... but then at the end they decided to replace the *INSERT NAME HERE* with a brick wall...
That is just so awesome...
And a great episode... Now I will beat it its been under my couch all these years... I will now play it...
Untill I win...

11.08.2009 - 01:51 | saber16... I never really found this one hard.
While the series is great, I think my biggest problem is how long it drags on. A break is needed, and without the password... it's either leave it on and take a break, plow through, or throw in the towel...
... But we just can't give the game the satisfaction...

Fucking ACTRAISER? Hell yahh!! The first one isn't difficult, so you must be doing the second one ... *shudder*
Good luck to you. I could barely beat it using an emulator with save states. In fact, And even then it was easy difficulty because normal kicked my ass when i rented it years before, and i couldn't get the proper ending.
My fav is Mega Man 2, and 3 is also awesome, but made super difficult with the amount of damage you now get from physically touching a boss. The X series didn't appeal to me, they didn't feel Mega Man enough to me. But i did enjoy the N64 one, even though it was vastly different.
But yah, my NES emulator didn't have save states, so i didn't even beat a single boss in Mega Man. I think i got up to Gutsman a few times, though.

It's good to see a Mega Man review, although I think there's a few things that could have been done differently to improve the content of this episode.
1. Clarification on the no continues comment. You make it sound like you have to restart the entire game if you get a game over.
2. Clarify the Thunder Beam/Rolling Cutter glitch earlier, especially since I see it being used prior to its explanation.
Overall not bad, I've seen much worse. Good Job.

A good video, but my only complaint is how you fudge the Continue system. When you continue in the middle of beating the Robot Masters you keep your progress in overall levels beaten, you just have to restart the level you were at from the beginning.
In the Wily stages when you Continue you don't start at the first Wily stage, you start at the Wily stage you were on. You even get a refill of Weapon energy, so sometimes it's preferable to get a Game Over and continue in the later Wily stages.

Gutsman's stage was a PAIN IN THE ASS!!!! honestly, I needed the platform gun to get through it, which means I had to replay Elecman's stage to get it (by the way, you forgot to mention that Elecman's weapon destroys boulders Gutsarm can lift up) and that was a pain to do in the first place.
It's even worse in the PSP remake, as the platform gun's gone. D:

Megaman 1 is hard mostly because of how glitchy it is. I did this No Deaths-run a while back. I'm honestly surprised I got it done in only two tries.

I can proudly say that my brothers and I, beat this horrible game. Okay.. It's not horrible, we infact bought from 1-4. But anyways.. There was another game that took a lot of my time, but I never beat it.. Solomon's Key. I nightmare of a game.
As for a game on the SNES I never beat was Another (Out of This) World, Prince of Persia (mostly cuz I didn't have the patience and got so annoyed I stopped playing), Pitfall and Flashback. I had gotten real far with Flashback, but I didn't own the game, so I never got to finish it.
Anyways.. Good luck with your next game.. If I think it is what I thought it sounded like.. Then you're in for some frustrating gameplay. Cuz if it is what I think it is.. I've beaten it.. Resulting in high bloodpressure.
