I'm 18 so I'm not quite the NES generation but Ido love old games
and I can proudly say that I'm a huge
megaman fan. And as a Blue boy fan I thought Megaman 9 was very very very good

Great review! I gotta say, retro gaming is IN!! Hey, how about doing a review on a DS game I just picked up-- it's called "Retro Game Challenge" -- and it's like a LOVE LETTER to old-school gamers! The story is you get sucked back into the 80s by a disgruntled old-school guy who can't get a handle on current gen titles (LOL) and have to complete achievement-style challenges in these fake 8 bit titles-- everything from space shooters to an RPG!! It almost slipped under the radar for me, but it's WELL worth grabbing!

Great to see Capcom honoring its classic characters, unlike a certain company which is currently twisting its once praised series apart till nothings left! (watch your back "company I'm angry about but too damn afraid of lawsuit or blackmail to announce their name")

my buddy bought this and he tryed every level but he couldnt finish 1 level and its really hard at some points, but then a hardcore nerd as myself i just raped the bosses using only mega buster cus that is how we roll YAAAAEEEHHHH

First off dude I love the style you decided to do your reviews in not using actual video of yourself, instead deciding to use photos it really enhances the video at least for me, secondly classic controller FTW sir B)

I dug that game too, man. Though it wasn't nearly as difficult as the older games (some of which I still can't beat, though I cleared Mega Man 9 in just a few days) it's certainly a great deal more difficult than games these days tend to be. I can dig it.

wow a review by Lee I actually liked and didn't have a problem with. I think I've played too many games from this generation because I end up sucking HARD on the good ol' retro games. Megaman looks very good though.

I remember entering that Nintendo Power MegaMan create a villain contest. I entered maybe 8 of my own creations and then filled up a few pages in my notebooks with several dozen MegaMan villains
I think I shall just do a blog entirely devoted to would-be MegaMan villains of my creation.

MM9 is hard... if you don't abuse items and weapons. If you do it suddenly becomes quite easy.
It's a very well-designed game overall. I don't think there's another MM-game that has so many opportunities to save time by using the various weapons correctly.
