Like Apaches, The Finishing Line incredibly rare movie to find in the wild as it was never released on VHS or DVD, So you can watch the entire 20 minute kiddie gore-fest for yourself here in the comfort of Channel Awesome. Was Larry right in his judgement? You decide!!!

Be that as it may...any idiot should know that! What could possibly be the point of playing on the most dangerous place you could find - especially after you've suffered multiple injuries and deaths?
Also, my apologies for not mentioning this earlier, but your commentary is hilarious. I really got a kick out of the endless sequence of watching kids come through the tunnel, and I really liked the bit about how the teddy bear couldn't be a superhero if he's never there for you. :)

Let's be honest, in this post-Jackass society of ours you KNOW some idiot kid (or teenager...or adult) will try to do a stunt where he will try to outrun a train. So, who knows, eventually this movie will gain social relevance... :p
But all kidding aside, the director of this was clearly sadistic. It's manipulation of the senses at its finest (or its worst depending on how you see it), with nothing clearly accomplished except a bunch of traumatized kids and adults that are saying "WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU???" at the special.
Good job, dude! Great to see another FYCW!

I really liked the video, but I have to get something off my chest:
Dear Glee
I GET IT ALREADY, STOP SHOWING ME THE SAME 2 ADS OVER AND OVER AGAIN. It was bad enough when "Pillars of Earth" did it, and at least they weren't trying to make me laugh with old as dirt jokes about the Hardy Boys. I look forward to your gay jokes about Bert & Ernie and fresh new observations about the intellect of cheerleaders.
Sincerely
Ineffectual Internet Rage

This is without a doubt the most messed up "PSA" I've ever seen. What ****ing people are going to arrannge a kid's tournament on active train tracks? Is there anyone really that dumb? Also, why would you throw bricks at a train and how is that competition in any way? How do you know which team wins when you dont know who hit the passangers and broke the windows? And...why am I trying to bring logic into this?
Anyways, great work and I really enjoy this series.

That's what the different colors of the bricks/sponges were for: they could tell which team had thrown which bricks/sponges based on the color. That's what the conductors/refferees/CSI guys were doing when they went through the train afterwards with clipboards noting which color bricks caused what damage/injuries. It's quite ingenious, really (especially for something so amazingly stupid).

My guess would be that Roth would make everyone explode into chunks of gore no matter what kind of injury they have. Just a guess. :)
What was wrong with the people who made this? I mean, really. I understand the point of PSAs, but what was this supposed to teach people? Don't hold events on the train tracks, don't be a moron, and make sure your movie actually has some redeeming quality were the only lessons I saw in this and I doubt that's what they were going for.
I just really have to wonder about some people. Either way, good commentary Larry. You made an altogether absurd movie tolerable. Nicely done.

I appreciate you allowing us to view the actual film in its entirety, but some of us are yanks. so by us watching the video and wanking to it, your title "films yanks can't wank" becomes pointless. when we yanks did wank to the film.
at least I did, anyways.
Praise to your time and effort that went into this.
often laughter was produced with every second being
an absolute delight.

What the fuu..?
What in the unholy name of Satan is this!
Was this movie made when people were afraid of overpopulation, so they told children to play games that resulted in mass murder or suicide!?
seriously I want to know what did anyone think while making this nonsense!
I mean we sure as hell couldn't throw rocks at each other or other people in my school.
and if we even got close to the tracks the teachers would flipout and get us the f*ck out of there. My God, The Room, Batman and Robin and even Garbagepailkids made more sense than this!

"Was this movie made when people were afraid of overpopulation, so they told children to play games that resulted in mass murder or suicide!?"
That was the same theme in Battle Royale and The Long Walk.
In fact, i think this was the result of the mentality of right-wing Daily Mail/Daily Express readers who believed in "less teenagers and kids, more safety".
The British media has a thing against teenagers/youths/kids. Just watch how teenagers/youths/kids are portrayed in shows like Skins and Grange Hill and you can see how the UK media despises them. With the exception of The Inbetweeners and bad Doctor Who-related shows, there has been a lack of positive portrayals of teenagers/youths/kids in the British media since the 80s.

11.09.2010 - 07:14 | Thumper17I need to say, I don't know of anyone who did any kind of playing near any sorts of railroad tracks. Though the most I've ever heard of at all is balancing on the track. Which still almost never happens.

With all the adults just going along with this shit I had to think it was all in the kid's head, BUT WHY WAS HE IMAGINING THIS!? Does he want all of his classmates to die or something? And this doesn't send a message about not playing on train tracks at all because it's a completely unrealistic situation.

I simply don't have enough "WTF???" to throw at this film. Hell, the internet itself doesn't have the capacity for the amount of "WTF???" it would take to properly register people's reaction to this thing.
I admit, I was fooled for awhile by that bit at the end; I couldn't figure out exactly what the "competition" was supposed to be in that event where the kids just solemnly & deliberately walk into a train tunnel while a train rushes into the other end to meet them. Then I realized: This wasn't part of the safety film, this was obviously some sort of deleted scene from The Happening he snuck in there. Thought you could put one over on us, didn't you Larry?

SYMBOLISM!!!!!!
Those kids are playing a dangerous game by playing on the tracks. At least I think that's what they were going for....they could have just said "Don't run across the tracks, don't chuck rocks at train windows and don't run through tunnels you little tossers", but no, they had to go with some nonsensical metaphor.
I like the idea behind these though, scare the shit out of kids so they won't do such stupid things...they get how kids work. Talking reasonably with them doesn't work, traumatising them is much more effective. Great stuff again Larry.

With the length of the "kids entering the tunnel shot" the one thing my brain focused on was the fact that by the time the shot ended, the kids at the lead had probably already started exiting the other end.
Well, at least the transit drivers were getting revenge for what the little shits did to the poor driver two events earlier. I can only guess they far outscored the yellow team and took the lead.

wtf? wasn't there like a ton of adult supervision there? Why didn't the teacher who was actually ON the track pick up the little girl? Or why are the adults even okay with holding races across a freaking ACTIVE railray!? This isn't only horrific, but it makes no SENSE either! It would be like making a horror movie about people who look down the barrels of guns and fall on knives.
