Awsome work Ben, this could become your PHANTASMAGORIA! Ironically, it has actually started raining were I live. Anyway, I understand why you wouldn't want to do only this for the next few months.
Oh, when is the next GYMDK? That was the first series of your's I saw and I still have a fondness for them. I even bought a Sega Saturn and PowerSlave base on you video.
At any rate, stay funny my good Frenchman.

03.02.2010 - 05:52 | maninahatWay to calm the situation down. I'm dissapointed you didn't get the gunman to shoot mr goat-fucking-ee.

03.02.2010 - 06:16 | jam287Definitely don't discredit your work on Heavy Rain, this stuff is hilarious and you should keep going. Not only does this game look terrible, your commentary adds an incredible amount of hilarity. I am laughing non-stop through every episode. Screw everything else for now, please keep going!

Man, you got serious fangirl's troubles if you think what this video is anything but a joke and take it so seriously. It's not an official review it's just a fucking joke video and you are trying to express your little fanboy opinion whenever you can.

03.02.2010 - 06:55 | KashadooBenzai, I got few suggestions. First: you must do at least some of the QTE in order to save the charaters and don't fucking... end the game too soon. And in order to not miss some fucking hot moments.
And what's with "spending 3 months to complete Heavy Rain", just record it in a single nightwalk, it's not what long - about 8 hours only.

in case you didn't see bro, these LPs are scripted and translated in French as well... I can't come up with that many things to say as I'm playing the game...I wish I could, but I really can't...
+ the recording/mixing/ translating takes some time...
so even if I would go through the game in one sitting...
1=> I can't record 8 hours of gameplay on my camera in a row
2=> I would still have to work about 4 hours on each half hour of gameplay...
3=> I would still only release episodes that are about 20 minutes long, 3 episodes for an hour of gameplay, meaning 24 episodes in total...and I can only release about 2/3 a week... so it would still mean releasing nothing else for a couple of months....

-
03.02.2010 - 09:22 | ArucardI was pleasantly surprised to see a new video up already, I checked thinking there wouldn't be. Whatever you do, please continue this series in the future, and more LPs would be great too!

03.02.2010 - 11:25 | Random_Ninja_5I'm really enjoying these lets play videos. I myself film and edit videos, so I understand what your going through. And even though you're only knee deep in the rain waters, I find that it is good to sometimes interrupt a series with other videos to break up the monotony (for yourself)
I am curious as to whether you will do more lets plays once you've finished Heavy Rain. And if so what games would you play?
Keep up the good work, Benzaie! I can't wait to see what comes next.
-
03.02.2010 - 11:36 | anticomunaObviously the people that watch "Let's play" has no intention of ever playing nor buying the game. Otherwise they wouldn't want to have it spoiled for them.
In this case those who call the game "bad" are just talking out of their asses. They have no idea about what they are talking about. They are just fanboys, either Benzaie's or from some other console's.

I've got nothing against Heavy Rain, in fact I enjoy it because of the several outcomes you can get. Not just with dialogue, but with scenes and endings. True this game has its flaws {like every game}, but this is more or less a movie that you "create". Overall, Benzaie you're doing a great job! You say some funny shit that actually makes sense. Keep up the good work!

03.02.2010 - 12:42 | MuggwompHey, did you know that if you take enough LSD before playing that the game becomes "Acid Rain." Seriously though, between your accent and your comments I'm LOLing quite often. The game certainly looks like it's not for everyone. And by that, I mean probably 90% of us. If I want to watch a movie, then that's what I'll do; not watch a semi-interactive fmv in the form of CGI. If maybe there was more of a way influencing the story (to a much greater degree than what it is) by your actions then maybe the developers would have had something.

The game is certainly not for immature people. The story doesn't include superheroes in spandex nor Michael Bayish non-sense.
So for those who need an explosion every 30 seconds would be better off playing Call of Duty.
Unless you mean by "probably 90% of us" "probably 90% of us under 13 years old" I would say it is the opposite. Around 90% or more loves the game, and you are in the minority.
Just check Gamespot Heavy Rain podcast (if you have played it already). The people there are really into it, with the exception of one asshole who refused to play the game and spent most of the time griefing it.

03.02.2010 - 13:10 | anticomunaIn conclusion, mature people will love this game. Teenagers and kids are more likely not to like it because the story and the gameplay will be way over their heads.
The maturity is not only needed to enjoy the story, but it also provides a good background in terms of adventure games.

Couldn't possibly be a matter of opinion. Of course not. Clearly anyone who doesn't like this game is a simpleton. Got it.

I'm of the increasing belief that this fellow is himself some 16-year-old kid who thinks he's hardcore because he watched all the Saw movies and only pissed himself once during them. I also love how his arguments are essentially more eloquent versions of the "STOP FLAMING, U PREPZ!!!!111" author's notes from "My Immortal."
I wonder if he eats Count Chocula with blood?

Actually I am intending to play Heavy Rain. I love the ambience and the whole mystery story. I watch these videos for the comedy, not for the game itself. I agree that it is not a game for everyone, but calling them immature just for not liking it is a bit low dude. It is true that a lot of games (and other media) use explosions and fast-paced action to grab the player, but that's because those games (etc) have little to no story nor compelling characters. I'm happy to see that there are games that are more story and character driven as opposed to run around and shoot everything that moves. But it is also good to unwind with a little blow-crap-up now and then. Not everyone is going to like all kinds of games. As for fanboys, there's nothing wrong with that.
-
Ya know first off I gotta say great job Benzaie as always. You continue to be my favorite French person and quite honestly probably one of the best reviewers here. I look forward to every time you make a video and this let's play is just another way for you to show your awesomeness.
Second-as a huge fan of Heavy Rain (it does have faults I'm not like Fanboy over it) I am actually EXCITED that Benzaie is doing this. Heavy Rain is such an intense and gripping story when your playing it that it's always good to take a step back and look at the brighter sides of the game and the more funny parts that you might not catch otherwise. I now find myself saying some of your jokes WHILE playing the game and its a good way to ease tension.
Good job as always!

There are a few sites that do reviews (real ones), and this is not one of the them.
