BASICALLY, Nothing happens in the demo, and TONS of playthrough have been published around the interwebs, AND I resituate the characters when we come back to them...so you just gained a half hour...and trust me, you learn nothing in that demo appart from the existence of two playable character => a fat private detective and a dorky FBI agent...

02.24.2010 - 00:20 | DeadBonesBrookWait, you're skipping the part from the demo? That seems a bit odd. I mean, you can't expect that everybody watching the videos has played the demo, or even owns a PS3.
That said, it's a great video, and I enjoyed it, although I was a bit lost since you skipped a bit.

02.24.2010 - 01:02 | ShmooglavoueSheesh, you'd think this would be the perfect kind of game to have subtle changes depending upon your behavior.
So why the hell is it full of so many random button-prompts? They don't serve any purpose. They don't really get you involved in the story or environment. It shouldn't be so difficult to get up out of a chair.
Also, why does the game just seem to go on without any care of what you're doing? It's one thing when you decide to not play with the kid, or not help the boss tie his tie, but it just goes forward without any input on the scenes that are actually interesting (the truck and spasm parts)
Well, I can't judge this game yet until I see the entire thing, but so far it hasn't convinced me in being revolutionary. It's just using a bunch of button prompts as a gimmick to supposedly "make you feel like you're in the game" and the rest is basically a modern-day equivalent of old point and click games, sans-puzzles.

02.24.2010 - 20:38 | BakazurazFor real? This video was taking so long to load on my internet I was thinking about skipping it, but I think I'll watch it. What song was it?

-
02.24.2010 - 03:54 | CheeseoftheApocalypseWell now I'm convinced I made the right choice in buying a 360 over the PS3. Thank you for showing me that something that is supposedly so much more powerful still can't seem to make something decent.

02.24.2010 - 04:15 | baba44713Well, assuming everyone has played the demo was rather silly. I would wager you succeeded very well in losing a hefty bit of your audience. I kinda lost interest in following the story now, no matter how funny the comments are.
Well, it's been fun! :)

this does look rather much like an old point and click game. actually it made me think of grim fandango. only not so creative. i mean you have to do some button tapping to climb a hill or to tie a tie. if they call that "immersion"
than i would skip this game.
and yea Benzaie.... youve got some balls assuming that we ALL played the demo. and thus own a PS3. i wouldnt buy any of the current gen consoles. and i dont own any. i am interested about this game. beacause of the hype. but seeing these videos, its basically a revival of point and click.... only with an controler.

These videos are great - I love how the game improves massively once you've insert your own dialogue and screwed around with the story.

Tiens, en français c'était "du sperme de schtroumpf".
I mean in his French riffs it wasn't Na'vi sperm, it was Smurf sperm.
-
02.24.2010 - 14:37 | poisontongueI wish you would have included the demo portion actually... because I've never played (nor even seen) the demo and probably never will. Oh well - this is all the game I need.

Screw you Benzaie. I should not have to find videos of demo levels just to understand an LP. That is not cool.
Other than that though, great job as always! Hopefully you can get the sound fixed though, because that's bugging me to no end.

These Let's Plays are amazing! My favorite stuff you've done, Benzaie. I love it when you are deliberately ignoring what you're supposed to be doing, which is really funny and also kinda undermines the game's claim to be, well, a game, and not a beautiful DVD menu. Anyways, please keep it up, this is hilarious.

To benzaie:
Why do we want to see the demo?
Why so much hate?
Because most people hear: "Iwill not be showing the demo, bzzz bzzz bzz bzzz bzzzz bzz.
This is because they are too busy yelling at their screens like they are watching a football game.
Or, they have already forgotten about the video, and have gone to the bottom of the page to make an angry comment, go back up and GTHO that page.
That's not me. Considering how the real game is, the demo must be sleep-inducingly boring.

I guess I'll go play the demo then come back to this. I'm not angry but this is a little annoying. You say nothing really happened in the demo plot wise but nothing really happened in the prologue or part one either. That was what made the let's play so funny.

Was the song that started playing when you said he should be a metal singer "Evil in You" by Kalmah? I swear if it wasn't the intro is identical.
Fucking hilarious regardless.

There's no way I'd have a job if I had glasses like that.
