That was very intelligent, Mavrickindigo. Just a tip: you may want to consider saying actually REVELENT things.

01.19.2011 - 17:23 | Lucia32...you're serious?
Mav, I'm a Christian. I'm usually the first one to notice when a slight has been made against my beliefs.
Which is why I'm telling you, that you are wrong.
Nothing like what you are accusing Joe of happened here. Not at the beginning, the middle, or the end.
Nothing.
So I'm thinking you're just a troll or a Poe.
So congratulations...success ful troll is successful.

We get Chik-fil-a every tuesday for lunch. I hate catholic schools, but god bless 'em!!! (no pun intended, even tho that wasn't really a pun to begin with :pinch: )
-
08.22.2009 - 13:45 | gammainnHaha I loved the ending!
-
What are the chances of that happening?!
If I was them, I get a sandwich, leave the money on the counter, and then leave...after locking the door. Oh and I would leave a message saying that they need to lock doors.
They could of stood there and not get in trouble. Who think the food place would be UNLOCKED WHEN IT'S CLOSED!
-

Guess I need Joe to introduce me to Chick Fill A next time I'm around...
by the way...is that really the reason they are closed on sunday ? because the founder is christian ? most restaurants are open in France on Sundays and you can bet your ass 90% of their founders are christians...or Jews...who have Sundays+Saturdays as rest days... so you can legitimately say WTF CHICK FILL A !

Sorry Joe, but here's some constructive criticism....
First off, the stupid faces irritated me more than anything else. I'm sure you thought they were comical, but I didn't see how they were funny.
Second, "The Next Day" segment was offensive. If you're talking about how it was closed on Sunday and then tell me what your plan is for the following day, don't assume that I'm so retarded as to not understand that the next day means "Monday".
Other than that, great video. I agree entirely. Just don't "Jim Carrey" it so much.
-
Cliff,
Thanks for the Criticism, dont mind the down votes to your comment, but I can explain them.
Angry Joe is Over-The-Top in pretty much anything he does. That would explain the speeches and faces.
Its funny you say dont "Jim Carrey" it, when Jim Carrey is probably my favorite comedian of all time. I'd suggest stop watching my videos because i'd never take that piece of advice. This is how I like to do it.
Your point about the "Next Day" thing was stupid. :silly:
Thanks for the feedback!
-
08.20.2009 - 06:23 | Cliff_m85Don't get me wrong, I loved your other videos but I just thought this episode was a little too over-the-top with facial expressions when it came to eating. My opinion ofcourse, so take it or leave it. I'll still watch because I find you to be hilarious and entertaining.

Really, I think their mentality is flawed. Even if they want people to go to church, they should realize that not all churches maintain the same hours. Some have morning-only services, some have evening services, and others still actually operate on Saturday evenings. There's "keeping the Sabbath holy", but what about flexible employee hours for those who DO attend church? and the common volition of everyone else.

This is kind of dumb. I mean, having worked there (including the headquarters in Atlanta which is just, wow, they have a great cafeteria, I'll say that much) I can tell you why they're closed. Chick-fil-A is a privately held company. It's also Christian-founded. Because of that, they're closed on Sunday. Still, the end of the video was great. Even being closed on Sunday, the food and service is so great, you've got to keep coming.
Also, I just want to rub in the fact that not only have I met and talked to their founder on multiple occasions, but living in Georgia, we've also got Dwarf House and Truett's Grill. Also, his pizza place. Heck yeah!
Edit: Wow, I can't believe I typed the word coming as dumbing. Good lord...
-
08.20.2009 - 03:33 | AngryJoeShow
I think some people are getting offended because they are misunderstanding the premise.
I know why they are closed on sundays. I jokingly say I dont give a sh*t because their food is so good I often find myself driving there on sundays to be disappointed.
There no commentary on religion here.
Honestly, if you love chickfila, there should be a small part of you that wishes you could eat there any day of the week.
-
08.20.2009 - 07:22 | Richard WeskerHonestly, I think this kind of response is expected, anyways, even though you didn't once bring up religion explicitly. Joe, I love the video, and I love your acting, but I laugh more at the comments people are making here.

I'm Roman Catholic and 'The Sabbath' is a Jewish tradition on Saturdays. We don't have a 'Sabbath' Sunday is considered a 'Holy Day of Obligation' for Roman Catholics. Protestants have other traditions, but that's ours! :)

This is going to be the Canadian in me breaking out but...I didn't realize that there really was such a thing as Chick-Fil-A! I always thought it was people snarkily poking fun at McDonald's "chicken filet" "sandwhiches". It never occured to me that it was the name of a real restaraunt!

Either way, very funny stuff, Angry Joe!

Sunday, the day that most people are off from work... don't you think that Chik-fil-a's people would be off, too? I mean, I don't know how it is there, but here, they hire quite a few students, and only the ones with straight A's can work there. Sunday is like the homework day for those students.

Two things. First, after the last video, I thought Joe was going to start making good videos for a change.
Second, they've been around for over 40 years, closed on Sundays. It's for a Christian reason. This video only supports my thesis that in America, the only religious people you can make fun of are Christians. Do it, and you're "hilarious". Make fun of Jews, you're a Nazi.

Two Things. Firstly, After an avatar like "Legendary Bad Ass", (which is actually my real title) I thought you were going to be pretty cool for a change.
Second, Who the hell made fun of Christians? Wtf is wrong with some of you people? How can a bad ass of supposed legendary proportions be so overly sensitive and over-analyze the meaning of the video? This wasnt even in the slightest negative towards christians nor even chickfila. Wow, Just Wow.

Don't mind him Joe, your episode was hilarious, he's just butthurt for some inane reason. Either that or he's trolling and he's just trying to piss you off.
Their "closed on Sundays" policy has foiled me many a Sunday as well, I'll drive by the local one after a visit to Toys R Us (shut up, I like action figures) only to be reminded that they're closed.
I seriously cannot believe they forgot to lock their doors though, whoever closed down on Saturday night got a talking to I'm sure.
-
08.21.2009 - 16:08 | KordithDon't even bother asking them why Joe. Most of the people on the internet don't have a clue what they're talking about, especially these ones who somehow became convinced that you made fun of christians.
-

-
08.20.2009 - 11:09 | Otter KingWhen I saw the title, I knew the premise right away. I've been in that dark, dreadful parking lot on a cold Sunday... *shivers*
But all things considered, I do appreciate the rule. When I worked at Wendy's, I was required to work on Easter Sunday. No one should have to spend the holiest day of their religious calender getting yelled at for over-cooking nuggets.
Great vid, though. I know where I'm eating tomorrow.

08.21.2009 - 03:10 | knuckles896Both comments support my thesis that judging any group by the comments of an individual is idiocy.
-
01.19.2011 - 17:13 | Lucia32I agree with knuckles, here.
Judging a group by the comments of an individual or minority is foolish.
One or two trolls cause some noise and suddenly it's ALL Christians?
Really? I direct you to Suede's goodbye video, or many of Linkara's vids, or even some of Doug's. In those you had one or two atheists throwing a fit claiming persecution that wasn't present in the video or in anything said by the producer.
Does that prove your thesis that Atheists have a ridiculously thin skins and a persecution complex?
How about the comments in the videos with Doug in Austria or Linkara's "Fortunate Son" review? Does that prove that Europeans have persecution complexes?
Anime fans? Liberals? Conservatives? Gay? Straight? Come on. You can find your examples on this. very. website.
Does this prove anything? NO. Of course not. Most Christians here (if you bothered to read the comments) didn't even blink (no wonder because there was NOTHING there to be angry about).
But you have still have chosen to claim that one person represents a whole group? Really, MPSai? Don't you realize how foolish that is?
Open your eyes, sweetie.

01.19.2011 - 00:49 | Lucia32"Christians are also sort of run and own the country and are the only religious group in America that actually actively go out of their way to deny other people their rights and freedoms. So...yeah. Welcome to reality."
Really? Last I checked this was a nation of multiple beliefs and peoples. All of which have members who have tried to deny the rights and freedoms of others.
Whether it's fundamentalist Christians causing grief for gay people in California.
or Militant Atheist groups trying to ban Bibles and Korans from Public Libraries.
or Fundamentalist Muslims getting huffy about cartoons.
and so on...
THAT is reality, Oberain.
-
01.19.2011 - 17:03 | Lucia32But those folks who trouble others? Atheist? Christian? Muslim? Whatever. They are only a minority.
To claim that an entire group of people is at fault is the hallmark of a bigot.
-
01.19.2011 - 17:31 | Lucia32LBA, speaking as a Christian myself I have one question for you:
WHAT THE BLUE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?!
He said nothing of the sort! Obviously you and Mav, are just trolling.
