I saw this earlier on AngryJoeShow. . .the joe-hanced pun was really cheesy. But the joementum one was awesome.
I just hope this game lives up to the +5 joementum you gave it.
Also. . .I am a Grammar Nazi, and you use the wrong 'were' and 'your' a lot.

Wow, this game looks incredibly badass! I always like post-apocalyptic scenarios, and the whole gritty feel really adds to the atmosphere. Also, the very concept of a random GUN generator is so overly outrageous that the idea - just the idea - of badassery just imploded and condensed into a black hole of awesome..
Finally, MUST...BUY...KANKA!

My roommate started giving me information on borderlands last year (when it had a different art style and focus). We were pumped for some serious ass-kicking on multiple worlds. I also loved the gun fridges.
Then we saw the art change...we slapped our heads and walked away.
But...this new trailer (and your enthusiasm) has me giving this game one hell of a chin stroke. Yeah, this may not be the serious (mood wise) shooter that it was originally shaping up to be but, then again, I think there should be more shooters with a sense of mischief and fun. Plus it still has the gun fridges and weapon creation ai. In fact, the only complaint I have is that it's another game that has brown in it (I'm getting tired of deserts and badlands in gaming).
By the way Joe, you don't play munchkin by any chance, do you?

07.30.2009 - 18:54 | Zargascant really say i enjoy the new art style but oh well
game looks fun tho i really cant bring myself to like the graphics of it
But as i value gameplay WAY more then graphics this might turn out ok anyway
But i really have to ask out, am i the only one who while watching "joe" talk or act or do anything at all
Get annoyed? this guy rubs me the wrong way
Normally i dont view his vidz due to this :P but as i love borderlands i had to watch it

I dont like Joe either - hes annoying. Like one big friggin infomercial. He clearly doesnt care at all about games or about having fun, he's just a pimp.
Also, I dont know why he uses his hands so much when he talks its distracting.
And he needs to shave his mustache. This isnt the 70s. Psfffttt..

It seems that this game could be badasserawesome to get the attention of non fps gamers. Kind of like a midway point for rpg fans and shooter fans. I share some disbelief and think that this "A.I." generator that creates the weapons and stages won't live up to the hype... but here's hoping that it is still good. Those flying monsters look fearsome! Wouldn't mind having one of those on my side when brawling it out.
What are some of the abilities anyway? Can I cast magic? This is an rpg after all. :D

looks like a halo and world of warcraft combined. it won't really matter on how much guns there are, because in rpg's everyone just use one primary weapon(s).

An RPG FPS set in a Mad Maxian environment? Man I already played that, it's called Fallout 3. Bazing!
However the procedural content generation sounds interesting and I didn't know about it before, I'm glad to see it catching on more and more in games.
I like to dick around in multiplayer sometimes, but eh, my most anticipated game this year is still Assassin's Creed 2.

Not really feeling the love, myself. Sorry, Joe.
The worry I have is that with so many guns, there's going to be lots and lots of variation, but none of them will really stand out. Or that they'll all just be slightly stat-boosted versions of a few gun types. This one has 5% better aim, but that one has 5% more glow filter on the bullets... that sort of thing.
I approve of an open-world game with Mad Max vehicle fighting, though. That I'm looking forward to.

OK .. Joe.. you really have to stop this, my Wii is looking pathetic, I want more with the games you show, I cry in my sleep..ok .. CRY dammit.
I will be upgrading my console and I have you to thank?
That game looks AWESOME! Kinda reminds me of a Fallout 3 if you ask me though, but still pimped out more and still sweet none the less.

Okay, after seeing the joehanced version 3 times now, I'm finally starting to warm up to it. Speaking of warm, Joe, I've got a question. You live in Texas (I think the Austin area), and you own a leather jacket. I live near Dallas and have to ask, why would you wear a leather jacket, its like 87 Bazillion degrees outside. And speaking of 87 bazillion, this game is going to be amazing. I wish it still wasn't 81 days away though.

I had actually dismissed the game due to lack of updates and its new art style, but you somehow convinced me to give it a shot.
I thought you would come up with some silly reasons to get it, but they were all valid. The one about all the loot made me smile, and the random map placement sounds really awesome, like L4D's director thing but on a huge scale! Bless you Joe for changing my mind. :D

Don't bitch slap me Joe :O because I know about this game since it's first trailer/teaser got released back in 2007 and they switched to cel-shaded. I'm not that pissed they did. Probably to make the gore more cartoony or it was a technical limitation because the developers promised no loading screens after the game starts. Mind you the game uses Unreal 3 engine so I'm really curious if they can make maps of the magnitude of GTA4 or Fallout 3. Another thing is yes this game for me is the next Fallout 3, which was the for me the best game of 2008 so I can't wait to see if I'm right if Borderlands will be 2009 GOTY. Yes and the randomization of the game sounds bad ass. You will have weapons like a shotgun that can either shoot like a sniper or can shoot grenades or can shoot freeze ray. Enemies to will have randomization like one will be a fire breather and another will roll maniacally. And as Joe said the maps will to have randomization so yes this is definitely my highest expected game and the second will be the Saboteur. Hope you cover that game too.
