08.11.2010 - 23:21 | Gojira1954Wait Spoony hates Fallout? Where did he say that? :grr:

No Spoony doesn't hate this he's like many of us and feels this is another ODST. This is a mission pack pretending to be a full game.
I have to agree with spoony. Yea it looks like Joe here is just tossing easy questions trying to get this guy to say something that doesn't say "overpriced mission pack".

Uh, thats what I said. -_- Though from what I can tell New Vegas has some extra features that most would consider mods for the pc version. So maby it is a mission pack, but its a 50 hour mission pack with mods that were developed by Bethseda, and for me, mods can add hours to a game. =D And again, he said it would be as long as the last game, so the ODST comparison doesn't work as that game was only 3-5 hours long.
Also am I the only one who thinks people would stop complaining about it being a rehash if it got a graphics upgrade? I think most of the "mission pack impretion" comes from it having simmilar or reused models. Excuse the cliche, but don't judge a book by it's cover.

Too bad New Vegas PC version won't have Xbox Live achievements. It's gonna be on Steam. I don't care for Steam's achievement system.
Yeah, and I know how that sounds, since you know, achievements don't really give you anything. I just like completing things, and I just really like how Xbox Live sets up its achievements.
On Joe's website, he seems to think New Vegas will be a rehash as well, guess we'll find out.
-
08.12.2010 - 09:27 | Cameron WinterI really hope its not going to be Steam exclusive, because that means it'll be apain in the fundament to install mods, which for me, was what made the PC version of FO3 the definitive version over the console versions

i do not trust this guy i like the fact that he teals us new stuff that the overs didn't but its just that hes not part of the developers of the game and it just sounds to me like he does not know what he is talking about you know like some of the things are not true but it still looks as epic as fallout 3 and i am a fanboy so i really do not care i am gonna play it anyway.....lolz

I only wish Fallout had multiplayer but its always been a great game. The music has alway been great in the last few entries, i wonder how the radio stations are going to be and what music they're going to play instead of the same four or five songs. Either way, keep up the great work. I'm a huge fan of the TGWTG team =D

08.11.2010 - 23:35 | XanedilThat's all well and good, but screw New Vegas, we want Elder Scrolls V!!! (at least I do.)
In all seriousness though, I probably will get this game. I loved Fallout 3, and even if it is more of the same, I'll probably still get it.

Nice sneak peak, but I was a little distracted by the fact that I can't close the fucking ads on blip any more. Whenever I go to the X, the Angry Joe Show banner pops up and prevents me from closing the ad. This is a really shitty thing to do blip, it distracts from the video's.
-
08.12.2010 - 02:56 | Deathmark13i notice you didn't give your final opinions on the game like you did in some of your other videos, odd,...now, i heard this game is going to have 20 friendly(ish) NPCs in it,...i take that to mean 20 unique NPCs (IE have names, not like 'megaton settler' or 'rivet city guard') can you confirm this? i hope this isn't true, because if so,...that's about the population of unique characters in rivet city alone spread into a space the size of the whole wasteland,...that would fucking SUCK!!!

Obsidian are not a BAD company...they just are not a great one. Bethesda is a great company, Bioware is great company... Obsidian...well they take well loved games and make sequels everyone wants but makes them in such a way you cant help but feel disappointed. My fear is this game will be:
1) Buggy
2) Rehashed
3) The same as FO3 but strangely different for reasons you cant put your finger on....and not in a good way
4) Not optimized for the PC. Fallout is a PC franchise and should be made on the PC then ported simple as that. I fear this will not be the case and we will get typical shitty optimization from Obsidian to the point of unplayability.
Lets hope im wrong.

As much as I'm looking forward to this game, the notion that the same crack team of dedicated Quality Assurance people are working on this title worries me. The PS3 version of Fallout 3 was fairly buggy, but it was playable... meanwhile, the Game of the Year Edition was cracked down the center with game breaker bugs.
Here's hoping those were never patched because Bethesda was too busy making sure New Vegas wouldn't rupture the PS3's spleen. Had to retire the GOTY edition of Fallout 3 in the end, for fear that it'd gimp my PS3 permanently.

08.12.2010 - 04:27 | Cross X. Brand
Things that i know of that will be in FONV:
MOAR FIAH POWAH!!! [energy weapons SUCK]
Custom Weapon Modding
New colorful location and bigger map
Companion wheel [hoping for revivable allies]
All star cast including Ron Perlman ["War..."] and Ghoul Raul is played by Danny Trejo [EL MACHETE DOES NOT DIE, PUTOS]
Different start items depending on where you buy the game
I kinda wonder if Bethesda or whoever is going to do another game in the Elder Scrolls series. Maybe add some Magic Guns that run on MP and shoot Fire style bullets.
I dont really care at all about the sex stuff, if your on the internet then why would you bother with it in your games. Thats like saying you like to get off if some guy does some sex thing in the game to help you get your rocks off. Not a selling point, and besides isnt that what fan fiction is for? Im guessing Joe Hasnt seen that Moira Brown pic from artist Sawao [who also draws some awesome RE stuff as well as some awful Sherry Birkin stuff *vomit*]

personally I feel that Obsidian is the best RPG dev we have.
Yes, their games are unpolished, but their writing is usually the best.
Neverwinter Nights 2: Mask of the Betrayer is incredibly underrated.
As for Star Wars KOTOR 2 the game felt rushed towards the end because Lucas Arts rushed them.
As for Alpha Protocol....yeah no excuse there, they really dropped the ball
Still, I wish that Obsidian had full and total controll, specially because, in my opinion the first two fallout games were much better then fallout 3

If they're a great developer, they shouldn't have a laundry list things that need excusing. Unpolished games are not an acceptable characteristic of "the best RPG dev we have."
I'm sorry sir but your argument makes no sense. You're basically saying "yeah he punches me in the face now and then, but besides that he's a great guy and it isn't his fault!"

Oh my god I m so EXCITED for NEW VEGAS!!! I got every achievement on fallout 3 for xbox. I god it like the day it came out and I am STILL playing it TO THIS DAY! If that isn't a cause to get excited for ANOTHER Fallout game, I don't know what is!
New Vegas FTW

I am a HUGE Fall out 3 nerd! When my brother mentioned this... I// FREAKED. I can't wait for it! I lived in DC when the game came out, the mapping accuracy was AMAZING I wonder how the maps will be for New Vegas, like will they have some of the more famous casinos' down the strip and whatnot.
I'm completely amazed, I want it. In my hands. Right. NOW. And haha! A Ghoul Stripper... If it's Feral I think money won't matter to it. I want to see a Centaur Stripper HAHAHA!!
-
08.12.2010 - 06:29 | VirtzTo me the main reason to wait for New Vegas is the writing (due to being primarily developed by Obsidian rather than Bethesda).
It'll probably be like FO3 for the most part, but with a storyline and dialogues that don't make me want to bang my head against a wall. I'd hope for some better balance and less level-scaling as well, but if the storyline is good, then even FO3-like combat would be tolerable.

08.12.2010 - 06:47 | SpocksBrainNice. Really looking forward to this one. Anybody know anything about a level cap and a "the end" like Fallout 3 had without the Brotherhood of Steel DLC?

[size=medium]Hey joe,
I've only played Fall Out 3 at a friends house. Should I buy New Vegas or should I just play Fall Out 3?[/size]

08.12.2010 - 09:16 | DryI hope they do not mess the story up again. Sure, it had nice graphics and some awesome effects. But F3 had no story, no humor and no heart. If you like that kind of game, by all means, go ahead and play it. It is a nice post nuclear shooter, but it has nothing to do with the original games (Wasteland, Fallout 1 and 2.. hell, even Fallout Tactics was story-wise better).
So will it be a good game? Yes! It will be f'ing awesome..for a shooter.
But will it be a true Fallout? Probably not.
Sad thing is, that all games coming out these days are like this - cash-ins with no soul. If you want a look at what I am talking about, get yourself the Fallout package that you get at the interplay-site for 10 $. And, surprise, it runs on 'modern' Vista/W7 machines with less crashes than F3 does ;)
