I can understand enthusiasm, but redirecting can only work for so long. There's nothing wrong with putting your videos on multiple sites - just look at Spoony. What I take issue with is actually him leaving his videos off his own site now. In the Kinect review, for example, he didn't even link to Blistered Thumbs.
There are better ways to promote a site than forcing users to go cold turkey.

honestly, I think some people should be a bit more lenient with this whole redirecting business. These guys are trying to launch a new site and if any of you have ever tried to do that than you know it's very difficult to get viewers to switch over or go to both (hell, it's nearly impossible to convert viewers to a different freaking youtube channel). The reality is that I would have never visited Blistered thumbs if it hadn't been for this redirect, not because I didn't want to, but because I just wasn't thinking about it. Now I'm going there on my own and that's the whole point of these redirects. I'm just saying I think a bit of sympathetic reasoning is in order.

He probably knows the guy, I mean he IS a game critic. Plus he has a mustache, people are 235% more likely to be persuaded by a man with a mustache, it's just facts man.
Anyway, the game looks terrible. I can just see a poor 5 year old sitting at home and crying because he can't get the game to start.
Still though, I have far more hope for Sonic Colors, the preliminary reviews are actually GOOD! *SHOCK* Except for that horribly biased sounding game trailers review

You know what I call this? KARMA. Karma for Sega betraying Nintendo and only releasing this for the FREAKING XBOX 360. Sonic does not belong on only a console that's not Nintendo, and I bet this game would be so much better if they just stuck to regular controls with a controller, giving it a multi-platform release. you know what you should do, Joe? Go buy a copy of Sonic Riders or it's sequel, Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity, and see just how well those work! Do it!, and see how much BETTER those games are

11.11.2010 - 02:20 | dragondan1987Weren't we told that we would continue to get videos on this site too. It seems that your not giving us a choice now with it not on TGWTG or even angryjoe.com its just you will like bistered thumbs or not get any angry joe. It feels like we are being forced to go there and it just feels like visiting a second rate gaming site that wants to be like gamespot or ign with horrible article writers. The only good thing on it is the people from this site.

The only reason why Sega is doing this is probably because of the contract, just like their contract with the launch of Sony, PlayStation 3, coinciding with the release of sonic NexGen. The only difference is you can actually blame the controller, in other words I highly doubt that there's anything change from the game core storyline, air writers stages. ( or else they would have planned to release it on other systems, for more money, after all exclusive titles don't actually give you more money when you release only for one system, cast a larger nets equals a larger paycheck]

11.11.2010 - 02:41 | HaloOfTheSunThe review was great, of course, but I don't see the point of forcing people to view the video on another site. All other videos here don't redirect you to the particular person's website, why should the Blistered Thumbs videos be any different? I don't have to go to Spoony's website every time a new video of his appears on here. I shouldn't have to go to Blistered Thumbs to view Angry Joe's videos.

I already said a lot at Blistered Thumbs, so I don't really need to say much more here. The game looks pathetic and bad, Joe has a new Berserk Button, and I'm still having trouble believing a Sonic game has bad music.
I mean really, that's always been the one thing about Sonic games that's always been good, no matter how crappy the game is. For them to drop the ball on even that, just speaks volumes for the quality of the game and yes, I did listen to a few songs besides the intro shown here before I made this judgment.
Here's hoping you never find another game that makes you this mad Joe. Here's hoping indeed.

"Having trouble believing a Sonic game has bad music"
Have you even heard Sonic 4's music? It's unbelievable that Senoue was involved with that.
Also, honestly, there's a difference between "bad" music and music you don't like. The original riders game had some pretty decent music, from what I remember. It's the only thing that I really remember about the game. Really high energy, fast paced stuff, but I could see how other people might not like it.
Sure the title screen song wasn't an amazing song, but it isn't NEARLY bad enough to warrant a disgusted reaction.

11.11.2010 - 04:37 | Thumper17I can't believe people are bitching about needing to click the link to watch it. Jesus people, the point of this site was to separate the videogame reviews from the rest. The same thing will happen with Inked Reality.
I'm actually surprised they're even posting them like this. Since it wastes a spot for something else. The point of making a separate site was so there would be more room on this site for other things.
I was actually intending to ask them to stop using the spots like this. Time to push new people, like Vangelus, or Luke Mochrie. Find another way to advertise the other sites.

Considering you go by the name "Angry Joe", this is the first time I've seen you actually be really angry!
I can't believe some people are still trying to defend this game, even with the evidence mounting against them that the game just doesn't work. I dunno, maybe some have been able to get it to work to a satsifactory degree, but if the game's actively making you work to make it playable then it's just failed completely.
I've seen insipid statements like "it makes no sense how the controls could kill the scores so much". Well, what's the most important thing about any game? BEING ABLE TO FUCKING PLAY IT!!!

Why does Sonic need a hoverboard? Won't that slow him down Oo ?
Anyways, what did you expect, Joe? Sonic Team failed to make a good Sonic game with traditional controls for the past decade or so. Do you really think they can deliver decent gameplay if they have to tinker around with entire new controls?

I wonder how many games will be coming out for the 360 that will suck due to motion control. Am I one of the few people who isn't a fan of motion control games. I guess now that 360 and ps3 have motion control they can make a bunch of shovelware like the Wii.
I'm so tired of motion control in games and tired of 3D in my movies. Maybe I'm just getting old but things were better in the old days and I'm usually fine with change.

In the review you said they should have a mode where you control the velocity and direction of your throw up. That was kind of funny, but I have to point out a common mistake. See, velocity is a vector, and so it has a magnitude and direction. It's basically a speed with a direction. Thus to say "velocity and direction" is redundant because it's like saying "speed and direction and direction". Direction is already accounted for in velocity so there's no need to repeat it.
Alright, you can feel free to shoot me in the face now. Bye.

It sure is a good thing that you took the time to comment on a video, just to say that you're not going to watch the video. Way to be an ass.
