Saw this on your site, and barring some last minute codeing disater, it looks like this will be the case. At least with the multiplayer aspect. I'm a little worried about the single player campane.

I really hope they keep the humor and banter like in the first game, since this is one of the only FPS's were I acrually felt like I was operating with a squad of real people and not robots.

Anyway, when you get your 360 back from the shop or replaced, any chance of me joining your squad? I'd enjoy gaming with you greatly.

Edit: This is one of my pet peeves, but it is CoD:MW2, not just MW2. People seem to discard the Call of Duty part, but it seems a bit disrespectful to me. We need to honor the franchise and the games that came before.

Edit 2: I've been playing the game for a day and a half. It's awsome, simply puts everything else I've played to shame (At least MP games, let's not get crazy). Joe, you rock.

the cod guys said they don't want it to be called cod:mw2, just mw2. Because they want to create a series of modern warfare games separate from the classic CODs. That's why the cod title in the mw2 box is so tiny

I Totally agree with u Joe, The feeling that you get from playing BC2 is a way more intens Warfare feeling, the best part about this game are the huge maps, that lack MW2, MW2 feels kinda Claustrophobic.

BC2 has pretty awesome destruction, even if it is still one step behind Red Faction: Guerrilla, a game I personally loved to death.
Hopefully BC2 will be my new Red Faction, because MW2 sure wasn't. Getting knifed and noobtoob spammed wasn't my idea of fun.

I actually like BC2 because of its destructibility and humor, the heroes are so likable and fun and the game itself looks extremely fun as well, I love MW2 but BC2 feels less frustrating.

I've always liked the BF series more though I actually prefer 2142 over 2... everyone seems to forget about that one. I like it though.

The funny thing about rule 5, they say fuck pretty much in every line, but if you type fuck out (pc version of course), it will censor it out.

I wouldn't completly compare the two games, but in the end: BC2 > MW2 if you ask me.
It's just not completly the same old shooter where k/d ratio alone cares. It's way more about teamwork and helping each other and that makes it great.

I don't make a habit of playing war games. I typically just watch Joe to see the latest buzz through his objectivity, but I can't deny it. This game looks AWESOME!

They added a default 400 pixels wide. I'm not sure why seeing as many pictures are taller than they are wide you'd think there would be some option to let them set a max on both dimensions that would maintain the aspect ratio. Or at least allow it to get smaller.

finally someone agrees with me! they need to make it an open battlefield, i suggest modeling it off the xbox series "star wars Battle-front 1 and 2" have an entire war going on around you! you can have an elite team of snipers covering a group of infantry from above, mount up a group of assault soldiers to create a kill zone. Or even get a team an flank a team of snipers guarding a base

Man I love Battlefield series more than Modern Warfare series so if Bad Company 2 kicks ass and its better than Modern Warfare 2 I'm happy gamer.

Swearing is even in well known jargon like SNAFU Situation Normal All Fucked Up or when allot of people are dropped into the meat grinder without proper load out or sit rep its a Cluster Fuck. And those are some of the less colorful ones.

Have this game pre-ordered and grabing it at the midnight release at my gamestop. Hopefully I can grab my camcorder during the night too.

I nearly crapped my pants when I was some of the gameplay, I can't wait till this game comes out. I always thought that Battlefield should've stayed on the PC, being a huge player of it many years ago. But now that I've seen this, I've got to check it out. I mean fully destructible environments!? That's awesome.

The BC2 ads. have annoyed me on GT.com. Joe don't know that many cursewords.

It would add more varied gameplay but I don't miss vehicles. On maps that have 'em they're what n00bs rush for in Halo. They're just something to make for a handicap match.

#3's the best reason yet. Destructible environments ad a lot to gameplay.

Congratulations. Joe has me convinced. I'd heard it said BC2 was better before (from friends who played alot of MW2) but taking into account the mechanics it has and its' competitor doesn't it's demonstrably true.

Realistically, rabid Modern Warfare 2 fans would be throwing their pacifiers and dirty diapers.

Modern Warfare 2 is overrated IMO. I mean it's a good game and everything but not THAT good and I seriously miss dedicated servers, it's thanks to dedicated servers I still play CoD4 instead of CoD6.
I loved the BC2 beta so it will kickass :D

I just didn't like MW2.It wasn't god awfull, but the single player was one of the worst ever.The multiplayer can't compete with BF 2 in my opinion.And with a new Battlefield game coming I hope both this one and the next Call of Duty will be good.
