Today on Gaming with killatia we're not reviewing a videogame. Instead we taking a look at the Hyperkin SupaBoy, the first (to my knowledge) portable handheld Super Nintendo. Look out Playstation Vita you got competition!
Now a lot of people aren't going to be
familiar with this film choice. The Tokusatsu series Kamen Rider W
(Double) had been a great success after the rather horrid Rider
season that preceded it. It did so well in fact that the titular
character appeared in a number of Rider films in cross over, as well
as having their own films. However Toei decided to have two direct to
DVD, or V Cinemas about the secondary Rider of the series Kamen Rider
Accel and the villain of the movie Kamen Rider Eternal, but today's
subject is just the first one:
Aaron aims down the sights of his Super Scope, and has his trigger
pulled, among other things, but that's not in the video. Decency laws,
you understand.

I
was a big Power Rangers fan in the 90s, millions of kids were and I
was at the younger age of Bandai’s (PR owners for first 10 years)
target audience. I drifted off after a few years with a few occasions
bringing me back to watch specials, the killing of Zordon, the 10 Red
Ranger team up anniversary episode, Tommy’s return for the 12th
season, you the idea but Power Rangers RPM (17th
series) was first and to date only series I’ve ever found myself
watching every week for the duration of the series run.
As
a change to my general formula for this review I’m going to try and
explain why RPM was so revolutionary to Power Rangers (all my opinion
but I believe a lot of my views are shared) as I narrate the events
of the first episode and discuss a broader area of information
relating to the future of the series, PR in general and Super Sentai
(The Japanese series PR uses footage from, I’ll assume you’re
familiar with the general ideas of what’s borrowed from the
Japanese counterparts.)
Been a while since I posted a review and I hope to remedy that! This is my look at the alternative superhero film "Super", starring Rainn Wilson, Ellen Page, Liv Tyler and Kevin Bacon. Directed and written by james Gunn. See what I made of it...
This was a particularly whacky ride and I honestly don't know how some of the occurrences around the end... occurred, but I hope it was at least entertaining.
This marks the beginning of an idea I've had putting around in my head for a little while now: Cessball and I essentially LPing some games multiplayer style. We decided on the title Failing Together because we're both pretty terrible at video games (except for me, I'm totally awesome even when I'm sucking), and in that vein I figured the best and most accurate way to start out is with a game we understand nothing but the basest mechanics of... a Japanese board game.
Super Jinsei Game / Super Game of Life is pretty much a video game version of the board game Life... with a Mario Party-esque blue and red square system years ahead of its time. Also it has a bunch of stats and an assload of jobs you can acquire, but since I don't read any Japanese and Cessball only reads a very small amount, we don't really know anything about it. You can also buy cards with various effects, but once again, don't know what they do since we can't read them.
We're just kind of making stuff up and shooting the shit for commentary, which is a new experience. I like it, personally but I'm not sure how it'll go over with the general viewing population. So far it seems like people like the videos, and we've even had a few people translate some minor events for us, which is neat. I spent YEARS looking for a translation patch for this game, or either of the 2 sequels on the SNES to no avail. I'm fairly certain nobody wants to redo that massive amounts of text for a game pretty much nobody would actually play, so I'm not surprise. Maybe one will appear someday, though.

A lot of you might be skeptical about the pick this year, but trust me,
it's one you'll want to totally get behind when you learn more about
it. Yet again, this was a year with MANY console brawlers and not so
many arcade brawlers. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it might
be a sign of things to come.
Dan plays Run Saber while Bob fucks up everything and eats Dan's face. Check out this Ye Olde Quicke Playe from GigaBoots.com of the second best SNES game ever! Lightsabers + Ninjas + Screw Attack X ANDROIDS = OMFG AWESOME!! :O
1996 was an interesting year given the PS1 started cranking out RPGs.
Not all of them were good, but dammit they tried! As a result, this is
when the SNES really kicked it into full gear to try to compete.
Overall, it was a very good year for console RPGs, but that's not to say
there weren't any good PC RPGs. There were only 15 games, so this
should be quick.
This was another easy year. And yes, I'll likely be annoying PC gamers,
but before I do, consider this: all 5 of the titles selected were
either PHENOMENAL or the best of their respective series. There is
literally no reason they should be on the top 5 list and the only one I
really feel bad about not including is Breath of Fire 2. There are 20
games in total, so let's get started!
This is another year where I'm sure PC gamers are going to be pissed
with me. To be honest, I was about ready to call it when I saw the
list, but there were certain PC titles I wasn't sure about. This was a
good year for console RPGs and it really shows. There were 19 games in
total and keep in mind that perhaps I can't see some of these titles'
charm because I didn't have a PC that could play them and I did have
various consoles that could.
This year will be easy. Why? Because the only tough part about it is
not highlighting certain games I know are great, but not the best. I
went into this one expecting it to be as tricky as the last two years,
then realized I knew exactly which 5 should be at the top within 30
seconds. There are 25 games, but you only need to remember these...
This time around I noticed there are more console titles and the SNES
especially is getting a good start. Unfortunately, most of those titles
don't belong on a top 5 list. Sure, games like Mystic Quest and Soul
Blazer are fun, but out of all the rest? Ha, no. Not too surprisingly,
there are a lot of great PC RPGs this time around, making it pretty
hard to call it in some cases. There are 22 titles this time, so let's
hop into it!
This was actually a tough year for me to choose through games. There
were a lot of PC RPGs, naturally, but the problem is a lot of them, yet
again, are not very easy to simply pick up and play. Most of them
require thorough understanding of the manual or perhaps prior knowledge
of the series in general to truly appreciate the experience.
