Top 5 Movies from 10 Years Ago That Need Reboots

I've heard a lot of people complaining about remakes these days, and this year especially with the reboot of Spider-Man. Personally, The Amazing Spider-Man is one of my most anticipated movies of this summer. My philosophy is that there's no such thing as a bad idea, only a bad movie. And maybe it will be a bad movie, but that's no reason to bash it for existing. Just don't give it money!

But I digress. With the new Spider-Man movie coming out, and having just watched and reviewed Scream 4, I've started to wonder what other recent movies could actually work with a slight update. So here's a list of the top five movies from around ten years ago that could use remakes, reboots or at least some resurfacing.

5. Atlantis: The Lost Empire

Fun Fact: This was a Joss Whedon project. Maybe that's why I don't like it, but I see the potential. With Disney trying bigger action movies like John Carter (okay, bad example), it'd be interesting to see them do a live-action remake of this film. But this time around maybe the villain's goal could be a little more understandable and less generic and mindless. You could still have some of the same characters in there, but it'd be nice to see what else they could come up with. Just make it a really cool family-friendly action-adventure with big special effects and a little bit more heart behind it.

My second video, this one, of the Powerpuff Girls.

I have not bought a pop filter yet, and I'll probably do a full review for the next one instead of just a list.

Knight of Five Reviews 33

Well here we are, after a long wait and a few demands, we have finally arrived at the review that I have promised for such a long time; all the way back to review number 3, Startropics for the NES. What a journey it has been trying to get this review done. So how about we just get down to the nit and gritty, Hello and welcome to the review, and let us dig into Startropics.

My sister handed me the NES cartridge about a year or two ago and asked me to review it, back then I really did not give it the fair chance that it really deserved and kind of blew it off. That is until here after the last review I buckled down and played it, and to my surprise it is the type of game that I enjoy, from the very first dungeon it is out to get you. This game was produced in 1990 by the Coca-cola company, actually it was produced by Nintendo, and the same development team that made the Punch out game series; but they must have really enjoyed cola soda do to the fact that this game has the annoying trait of naming places and things words that ended in cola, Shecola Castle, Americola, Chief Coralcola, etc.

Following on from my review of the first episode of Power Rangers RPM’s first episode review; seemed fitting to cover what at this point may well be the last appearance of the RPM rangers. Now before I start I have more than a few issues with this ‘film’, however my issues are personal but the issues are justifiable, even to me but I’ll get to those later.

Clash of the Red Rangers is a team up TV movie between the RPM Red Ranger (Ranger Operator Series Red in the shows terminology) and Power Rangers Samurai, only Series Red RPM ranger and the RPM ultrazord appear aside from some of Vendrix’s army, however aside from grinders the villain is a new character. The movie is a mash up of 2 Super Sentai movies; the Samurai Sentai Shinkenger movie, Shinkenger vs. Go-Onger and new American footage.

I was a big Power Rangers fan in the 90s, millions of kids were and I was at the younger age of Bandai’s (PR owners for first 10 years) target audience. I drifted off after a few years with a few occasions bringing me back to watch specials, the killing of Zordon, the 10 Red Ranger team up anniversary episode, Tommy’s return for the 12th season, you the idea but Power Rangers RPM (17th series) was first and to date only series I’ve ever found myself watching every week for the duration of the series run.

As a change to my general formula for this review I’m going to try and explain why RPM was so revolutionary to Power Rangers (all my opinion but I believe a lot of my views are shared) as I narrate the events of the first episode and discuss a broader area of information relating to the future of the series, PR in general and Super Sentai (The Japanese series PR uses footage from, I’ll assume you’re familiar with the general ideas of what’s borrowed from the Japanese counterparts.)

This is the first episode of a new series called "It's Stevie!!" It's about Stevie, an abnormal human being if ever there was one, and the many, many ways he drives his roommate, Aaron, absolutely bonkers. WARNING: This is Not Safe For Work. To be honest, I think it might even be Not Safe For Humans.
