Wow, that special looked bad. I totally agree with you about The Little Red Haired Girl and really, Snoopy? Geese, can't Chuck ever catch a break. One of the biggest issues I noticed though was that the voice acting especially for Charlie Brown seemed off. At least the newest special, Happiness is a Warm Blanket, Charlie Brown did more to respect the characters and Schulz than this one.

rowdycmoore, how would you feel if somebody decided to compile all the comic strips featuring Snoopy as the WWI Flying Ace and his imaginary battles with the Red Baron and made them into a TV mini-series?

Aaah, nothing like a Peanuts special where it is truly cemented just how forever alone Charlie Brown will be... made in 2002? They actually made Peanuts specials that "late"? For some reason it feels like a huge gap, most of these specials have been made in the seventies or eighties unless my memory plays tricks on me.

Also, when you say "made by Gainax" do you mean Insanely Over The Top Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann Gainax, Insanely Random FLCL and Panty And Stocking Gainax, or Soulcrushingly Depressing Neon Genesis Evangelion Gainax? Those are all quite different beasts.

Personally I am torn between wild fascination over how Snoopy can woo so many, mild approval that he's actually, you know, DOING something and therefore one can hope spurring Charlie Brown into action, and disapproval if he did in fact know that was the girl his "master" had the hots for. Because if he didn't know, hey- he can't help he's got it going on.
