This movie is perfect for me, I'm a huge fan of Winona Ryder, dark comedies, and the destruction of the evil popular girls (yes that means Mean Girls too). Heathers is about a high school girl named Veronica, who ditches her friends and her lame image to be friends with the three popular Heathers. Each Heather wears the same color throughout the movie, the main evil Heather, bulimic Heather, and the dumb Heather. Veronica hates the girls, but is stuck with them until she meets JD a boy played by the (gorgeous) Christian Slater. Veronica and JD kill the main Heather with drain cleaner and two football players who spread a rumor about Veronica starting a trend of "suicide is cool". Eventually Veronica fakes her own suicide to end her relationship with JD, who reveals his plan to blow up the school during a pep rally. The day of the plan Veronica shoots JD in the boiler room, JD survives only to run out of the school and the bomb explodes still strapped to his chest as Veronica watches. In the end Veronica invites an unpopular girl to hang out with her on the night of prom and just watch movies. This movie is one of my favorites, I'm a huge fan of Winona's early work as a teenager (this, Beetlejuice and Mermaids are the best ones) and this just made me love her even more!

If you're not comfortable with themes of sex, murder, suicide, and manipulation then don't watch it, if you're cool with dark romantic comedies then go ahead.
