A Quick Review of

Alright you all knew this review was coming.  After all, I have been doing nothing but write about the road to the Avengers for the last month. However now that I have actually seen the movie, I find I cannot give it a very good review, without going into details, which would involve spoilers, something I am trying to avoid. So instead I will just say this. The movie is amazing! The acting is great, the effects are beautiful, the editing is very tight, and the script and direction by Joss Whedon extremely well done. Oh sure I may have a few issues here and there, but they come down to nothing but minor nitpicks. So if you are on the fence about seeing this, I will tell you go see this now. It is easily a perfect 10/10 and may just be the greatest comic book movie ever made. However this is just a tad short for my review after I have been building it up for so long, so I think I will go ahead and answer some of the questions a few of you may have before entering the movie.

Well it’s final here. The day we have been looking forward to since the first Iron Man. I am of course talking about the release of the Avengers. But what to write on in order to celebrate this events? After all I already reviewed each of the films leading into the Avengers and was a guest on the podcast Something Cinematic, where I gave my thoughts going into the film. So instead we are just going to look at the team itself, as I count down my picks for the Top 9 Avengers. This list isn’t going to be as detailed as most of my blogs, sorry I have a paper to write for class, but I still hope you enjoy it.

 Well it’s April, only one month until the release of the most anticipated film in years, The Avengers. So in celebration of this I have decided to jump on the bandwagon and review each of the movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, starting with Iron Man and ending with Captain America. Alright, the hype around this has been huge. Admittingly I was a bit reluctant to go see this one because people just kept calling it the “next Twilight.” So you can see why I was a little worried going in. So what did I think?

The Plot:

Dark Jak’s Top 9 Comedies

Well, it’s April 1^st aka the day that you can’t believe anything you see on the internet. This is of course done in the hopes that somebody somewhere well find it funny. Now I could jump on the bandwagon and make my own joke list, probably would have ended up putting Jonah Hex as the greatest movie of all time, but I figured it’s been a while since I have done a list and didn’t want to come back with something that would seem dated within a week. So instead I present to you my top 9 favorite comedies. But first I have to say some honorable mentions that I would feel bad about if I didn’t at least mention here.

Honorable mentions:

Tucker & Dale vs. Evil, Army of Darkness, Hot Fuss, Groundhog Day, The Incredibles, Aladdin, Airplane, It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad World, Big, Harvey, Smokey and the Bandit, Little Shop of Horrors, and The Producers.
