Hello and welcome to Project Nitsuj. The AI arc continues with this week’s guest host the wolf with the most Yin-Yang. *Yin-Yang appears* (Yin-Yang): Welcome to Project Nitsuj. You honor me with your presence. (Nitsuj): Well Mira likes deep and story driven anime and Shizuku likes crazy and action-packed so I’m quite curious to see what kind of anime you like Yin-Yang. (Yin-Yang): Comedy. Any anime that sounds interesting and has a lot of comedy in it is something I’ll always like. I’m also a fan of animes that take place in a fantasy world. (Nitsuj): Huh. So you’re a girl who prefers to laugh that’s kinda unexpected from you. (Yin-Yang): Never judge a book by it’s cover that’s why this week we’ll be reviewing “Mondaiji-tachi ga Isekai Kara Kuru Sō Desu yo?”. “Mondaiji-tachi ga Isekai Kara Kuru Sō Desu yo?” or Mondaji for short in Japan when translated says “Problem Children are Coming from Another World, aren't they?” (Nitsuj): Geez, that’s a mouth full. (Yin-Yang): Indeed, and just like the title suggest the anime centers around three high-schoolers who are problem children each with their own extraordinary power who get transported to another world causing trouble and having fun in the process. It’s based off a light novel written by Tarō Tatsunoko under the say name in 2011 quickly earning popularity in Japan. In 2013 the small studio Diomedea decided to turn the series into an anime and air it at the beginning of the year. So, up for diving into an unordinary world? (Nitsuj): Well I’m under threat to stay here so go ahead. (Yin-Yang): Great. Let’s take a look at “Mondaiji-tachi ga Isekai Kara Kuru Sō Desu yo?” wow that is a mouth full.

Being someone who never saw the first Rio, I wasn't sure what to expect from Blue Sky Studios latest film. Sure I enjoyed some of the Ice Age movies, but even then none of those films had a very strong script. And boy does this show here in Rio 2.

After the events of the first film, our two blue macaws Blu and Jewel have started a family, living in Rio de Janeiro. After discovering from television that there is possibly a whole flock of blue macaws somewhere in Amazon, the family decides to help Blu's former ornithologist owners Linda and Tulio to find this flock. The family and their old friends who join their trip manage to find the macaws and the rest of the film is about Blu, the former city bird, trying to get used to living in the jungle. Will he succeed? Will there be a whole slew of new side characters? Is the story going to be lazily written?

Like with most Blue Sky Studios movies, the biggest problem with the movie is it's lacking, almost rushed script. The story felt predictable and old: every scene I was taking guesses of what the characters are going to say to one another and how they are going to act to each other in different circumstances. Now with characters that are three-dimensional this wouldn't be a bad thing, but almost all of the new characters are horribly one-dimensional: Jewel's lost father is your typical overprotective dad, her old childhood friend is a romantic false lead and nothing else, a flock of parrots that live next to macaws act like jerks for the sake of having jerks in the film and the villain of the film is a greedy businessman who just wants to have money. Who cares about the birds and trees, when you can just work on your business.

For all the emphasis which is placed upon the Emperor’s Angels of Death, it’s hard to deny that one of the things which makes Warhammer 40,000 such a great universe is the nature of its aliens. Many have far more depth behind them than the species found in much more prominent franchises such as wookies, klingons or na’vi and there is always that interesting element of how many have been reworked from a fantasy setting. Above all, this book is an essential when it comes to seeing what really makes them stand out.

Much like the sections examining the nature of the xenomorphs in the Colonial Marines Technical Manual, the book is ultimately pages upon pages of lore written with a framing device of an investigation. Following the death of the radicalist Ralei, fellow Inquisitor Brehm Sasham is sent to examine his findings. His orders are simple: Expose Ralei as a heretic and destroy any items which pose a great threat to the Imperium. Convinced to stay his hand until the last of Ralei’s captive aliens have been dissected and fully cataloged, Sasham soon finds that things may be even worse than the Ordo Xenos suspects…
